Usually baked mostaccioli, a bolognese (meat)sauce. Sometimes i prefer to use rotini noodles or penne. I like the grooves/lines in the penne and i always get the mostaccioli noodles with the grooves and not the smooth ones. I feel like it hugs the sauce better. Then of course some dank home made garlic bread on the side. Ocasionally I'll make a fancy salad with some itallian dressing. Classic, classy meal. Good date night food at the crib.
Something about cooking the sauce is so relaxing to me. I just spark up a doobie and put on some music or the tv.

Brown rice, black beans, sautéed onions and bell peppers topped with sliced avocados and hot sauce. I usually just layer it and eat with a fork. Also good if you got tortillas.
I make this when I'm thinking how easy it'd be to drive down the road and grab some fast food.

I Love cooking.
It's a split between pasta and omelets depending on how I am feeling.
I eat a lot of eggs.
If it were up to me I'd be eating salmon, potatoes, and broccoli constantly. But not much is up to me these days

I make Navratan korma with green chutney, yogurt and Aloo paratha quite often because my spouse is vegetarian and enjoys it . Being a chef, I like fast things at home, so I eat tons of eggs. I usually make batches of nice sauces ; chutneys, salsa, satay , and puree's and have fresh herbs and citrus around so I can do alot of variations real fast . I almost always have mushroom puree and whipped roasted garlic - they are good ways to build deep flavor.

Sounds dank
It depends on the season for me, right now its sausage and mashed taters, last phase was tuna subs, before that was eggs on toast, gyros, burritos, pasta...
Basically I'll do one or two dishes on repeat, made in bulk if possible, with the rest of the day made up of stuff that doesnt take any effort

That sounds good. I've sadly never baked bread. My experiences with dough and cookies has made me paranoid that it's just going to be a huge waste of food.
I baked a pizza with my bro last weekend. Stuffed crust sausage and pepperoni with onions and peppers (all turkey meat of course) and I was so excited to eat it because it was the first time I did the stuffed crust right. Well he wanted to use the new pizza pan he got for christmas. For whatever reason there was a black plastic clip on the edge of the pan that blended in with the metal. It melted and while none of it got on the pizza the smoke made the whole damn thing taste like plastic. My brother was drunk enough to eat it but I couldn't. I was so sad

Curry. All kinds.. I am a bit of a curry fiend. I cook it so much my friends say my house smells like it even when I haven't cooked it in a few days.
Mostly Indian type curries - jalfrezi, palak paneer, murgh makhani, vindaloo, aloo gobi, veggie korma, etc etc..
I also make a really good Thai green curry. Can only get kaffir limes 1 time a year tho :/

This is the pizza bible. Making sourdough poolish is not hard, just takes practice. I agree 50/50 tipo 00 flour and King Arthur bread flower is best ratio. Will take a few tries to get your water ratio right, but his recipe is a good starting point.
Gonna need a HOT oven too. I use this thing called a Kettle Pizza. Otherwise you can get SOMEWHAT okay results putting your pizza stone right under your broiler and cranking your oven as high as it will go. IDK if I would recommend hijacking the cleaning setting like Varsano does.. It works, but he also has broken a few ovens in the process!
If you've never had neapolitan or east coast style pizza (New Haven, CT or NY), you've never really had pizza. After trying these types of pizza I can no longer eat Domino's, Pizza Hut, or any of that junk. It all tastes like cheap oily garbage.

Dough is one of those things that's really finicky and hard to perfect. Dough using the exact same ingredients can taste completely different based on a couple key steps of difference in recipe preparation. Things as minor as the length of time you let the dough rise, to the temperature of the water you mix the flour with, to using half a teaspoon too much of yeast, all affects how the dough tastes. I've tried so hard to make New York style pizza crust, and it never comes out quite like East Coast pizza.
So yeah, breads and stuff, I don't recommend it for novice cooks. You should at least be intermediate or advanced level before attempting bread recipes.

Any pizza at any Italian place is better than fast food chain pizza place pizza.
I actually googled delivery pizza a while back out of sheer laziness but after checking the nutritional value of some fuck off pizza at dominoes or wherever, I suddenly but naturally lost my appetite for delivery pizza.
Thin crust, crispy.

Man we had Unos here when I was growing up. Chicago deepdish. It was the shit.
Sadly they and the pizza joint down the street from it Roberto's closed down too. They're the only place I've ever known to have big fat flakes of sausage, not link cuts or crumbles.
Oh yeah G I've noticed. I think I'm going to stick to premade breads lol

It's literally a can of spicy chili dumped on top of a bowl of Fritos, then covered in cheese and jalapeños! Probably not the healthiest thing in the world, but it's so satisfying to eat while watching the football game.

Not all Italian pizza places are created equal.. Some are far better than others. The best pizza I've ever eaten was at Apizza Scholls in Portland, Oregon. Thin and crispy, yet chewy and flavorful. They will only let you put a maximum of 3 toppings on the pizza in order for the dough to cook right. They also discourage certain topping combinations which will mess up the dough. They make the dough fresh everyday, and sometimes run out, so they don't do to-go orders on weekends. Usually a 1-2 hour wait to get a table. Worth every second of waiting though!
Yes, chain restaurants are all garbage. But many many non-chain restaurants also sling mediocre pie as well. Once you've had that "magical slice" - it will change your world. Sounds like you know what I'm talking about. I've had some so-so Chicago deep dish.. It is it's own thing. But I far prefer NY or neapolitan style.

Dude, this recipe is so easy and quick.
& I found the recipe!!! Yay!

I always subbed skim milk for coconut milk (full fat from a can) and did half a banana and just a tablespoon of honey, personally.

Eggs + cilantro + onion seasoning + sriracha + milk and whipped for scrambled potatoes - cut into bits + sweet basil + garlic fried or baked in some olive oil veggies - bell peppers, onions, bok choy, and spinach, all butter fried except the spinach. black beans + chili powder and fresh ground peppercorn. Put inside a tortilla with a little ranch and some cheese. DANG. Could eat breakfast burritos every day of life until death.

Nope, never heard of such a thing.
I believe this study is now concluded...
it appears that sandwich making is not actually genetically linked to women as we once believed

Not some soggy grease bucket seeping through the cardboard box.

You know what's funny is that most folks in Chicago don't actually go for the deep dish. The usual pizza choice is thin crust.
I'll have a deep dish a couple times a year. They're really good from some places but way different than normal pizza. One slice and you're full, 2 slices and you're stuffed, 3 slices and you are a fat bastard. The one place I like for deep dish puts ricotta on the pie too

F yes! i was just coming here to post about Navratan Korma.... I had no idea others were into it, you'd be the first I've come across who knew what it was. Ive been honing my Korma game for about 5 years now!!!! Love, love it.

Navratan korma is bomb diggity! Today I am making sambar from scratch with dosa!
I love making chutney too - tamarind, cilantro/mint, tomato, mango.. Man I could go on and on about Indian food.. It is by far my favorite.
