Sold out, sold out, sold out...

Got a bit interested in sclerotia producers. Figured, might be fun to get some spores.
Been a couple weeks now... they seem to always be out of stock - everywhere! The one place I did find them in stock is a place that sent me an oyster LC syringe with visible green growth in it and wouldn't reply to my e-mails about it, so I'm not too keen on trying to order anything through them again.
Is this the norm or am I just lucky enough to look into these when nobody has anything in stock? I'm not looking for a vendor suggestion - I've been through the sponsors list as well as a few places I found elsewhere - I'm just curious as to whether or not this is something of a lost cause.

About 2 more months and 30 or so more posts, op and you'll have access to the shroomery marketplace where you can trade for spores or even grab some up for free if someone is doing a giveaway

I take this to mean that these are harder to come by if you don't know someone.
I appreciate the reply... it gives me a light at the end of the tunnel, so to speak. Now that I've found this place, I don't plan on going anywhere, so I'll just have to make sure I post enough to "make the cut". Given the two months I'll be waiting, I don't see that being an issue. I've been thinking about trying out a cubensis grow (only ever worked with edibles so far), so if I take the plunge I'm sure I'll have a few questions along the way.

They'll probably be up for sale through sponsors sometime within that 2 months, but if they aren't, the marketplace here is a sure thing.
Welcome to the boards and good luck!

They seem to be popping up as available again here and there. Just a matter of patience... something I struggle with constantly.

Stop looking through old materials then.. A lot of them are inactive for a reason. There's plenty of reason to post here. If you only read old materials you're going to be a lot more likely to be working under disproven assumptions that were common ~10 years ago. I highly recommend looking primarily at things that are being done right now, the people here are driving this hobby forward with impressive momentum.

You can find vendors on other sites. Reddit for example but I cant attest to the legitimacy..

The originator of ATL#7 appear to have it in stock in print & syringe. Not sure if they are the ones you are talking about but its the only ones I would buy it from. Maybe you are looking for another type though, most seem to go for ATL#7 though.

No, different vendor sent me the infected syringes. Thank you for the update!
The reappearance of ATL7 is what I was referring to yesterday when I noted that they were starting to become available again... found 3 sources for the ATL7. Haven't pulled the trigger on this, but it is good to see them back around.

Almost all syringe have some degree of contamination. It's your job as the cultivator to plate them on agar. If you didn't try agar at the very least then it's no fault of the vendor.

I don't disagree with this at all. I would, however, like for the vendor to at least reply to emails about a live culture syringe (this was an edible species, not an active) that has visible green growth in it. A contaminated syringe I can live with... the level of customer service shown by not replying to inquiries is another thing.
Even if they had replied with a quick "sorry, but that's a chance you take" I'd have been happier with them. Radio silence? Not so much.

Hey,@mrmazdarx9 it says you're too high at 9pm UK time. Also see you've got peyote. Is it difficult to keep alive in these parts? I'm in Ireland.
Also, do ye know if the special shroomery market have giveaways in Europe too or is it just within the U.S? Cheers!
