fuck those look nice. I would clone the fruits from the most dense areas of the sub to get thick clusters. Looks like you have some bald spots with the current genetics....im assuming its not MS?

Some tubs are ms and others arent. The two tubs closest to the camera aren't ms but the shot of the single tub is ms.

Would plates growing side by side tell you anything? (Besides speed I guess?) or would you have to test each one?

ive been doing full runs. ive noticed some clones are great on agar but just suck at colonizing a jar... or this one clone that took fooooorever on a plate but is ripping through a grain jar. go figure.

Probably end up with multiple pins from the tub on agar.
I also wondered if the cloning a pin at any point before it's veil is broken is going to result in the same growth. Like if I waited another two or 3 days if the pin would have diminished growth characteristics or if it will be the same as doing it right now

More mature fruits don't revert back to a colonizing state as easily and they have more cell divisions meating senescence sets in quicker.

So what size do you let the get to? Big enough that you can split them in half and get clean strip of tissue within or do you just drop a whole little one right on the plate?

Dropping a pin will be more prone to bacteria but the mycelium should outrun it allowing you to make a transfer from the edge. Unless the clone is from an invitro pin contams will always be a possibility. Thats why we use agar to clone.

Reason : Large healthy fruits part of clusters....
Wait until they are fully grown and crack them open and take tissue samples.

Take them while they are smaller for quicker more healthy growth.
Once a fruit has matured it begins to die your basically reanimating the dying room.

Hey I asked which ones to pick and nobody helped. Now you all criticize my choices? I didn't ask for input because I knew what I was doing, quite the opposite. I chose ones that I felt were very varied in the ammount of growth and were in varying densities of clusters. Maybe now that I'm done you can tell me which ones were the correct choices in your mind

It's probably fine but I take the best the sub has. That's the biggest strongest cluster. Your worst fruits in that sub will probably do well but I take the best overall myself. Just seems like I would go for bigger and more clustered.

I was just answering your question dude, no one is criticizing shit...we want you to succeed and grow 900000 1 pound dry tubs...
Next time I'll make sure I'll get home earlier to check my pc and answer your questions...
