(Pics) Morel Clones on Agar

Hey y'all, I just wanted to share pics of my first attempt at cloning. I started with dry fruits bought online. Unfortunately, the species was not identified with what I bought; my guess is Morchella angusticeps (They came from Idaho). Samples were hydrated in distilled water overnight, they were then given 5 washes in, sterilized, distilled water. Fruit tissue was dropped on the plates on 1/8. This first pic is two days later on the 10th with the first signs of growth.

These each are a pic of the 5 dishes I started, taken today (1/12), after making my first transfers.

So far growth definitely seems strong and I'm excited to grow them out further. Like I said this is my first ever attempt at cloning in general and I'm definitely still a beginner when it comes to agar work. If anyone has any advise, please share! Also, I should add that I do realize the possibility that these aren't clones. Definitely a chance that the growth is from spores still attached to the fruit. Regardless, I'm happy I even have the growth that I do.

Thanks projectbadass! PinPornProducer I'll face that hurdle when I get to it. Right now my focus getting a clean, healthy culture expanded to spawn, then sclerotia growth. But, when I do my plan is to try to replicate current successes as best as possible and then experiment from there.

Update: Just checked and all my transfer dishes are doing good and currently free of contamination. The the mycelium is currently expanding ~1/4" a day. The starter dishes are all 100% colonized and some appear to be starting to form micro-sclerotia. Also, one of two petris I started with Esculenta spawn, I thought was bad, is showing clean growth. I'll try to have some updated pictures later today or tomorrow.

Here are two of the 6 transfers I did. Big ramp up in growth since yesterday.

Here is the a pic of the petri from Esculenta spawn nearing full colonization.

And finally a pic of one of the mother petris. I mentioned yesterday how they were all fully colonized. Now they are all starting to get more fluffy growth. This one even expanding all the way up the side and onto the lid.

Enjoy!

Here's a pic of one of the fully colonized transfer dishes. I just transferred a piece of each of the 7 petris to pint jars filled with various spawn media I'll be testing. I'll probably be starting up a grow log for those as they progress.
