Mad props my man! Have you looked into the fiber optic star ceiling kits? That would step up your galaxy theme and now that I think about it "Alexa, turn on the stars" would be pretty fun in the middle of a trip. I've been toying with the idea of just building a 6' x 6' square out of 2x4 cover it with some smooth partical board to hide the carbon fibers then just mount the panel to the ceiling or a wall and you have a scaled down version. You could even mount your black lights to the edge all the way around.

Thanks guys, glad you like it!
I call it my "real-life Tardis" because...
1) It's bigger on the inside then the outside. (Visual effect. The french doors at the end of a narrow hallway. You cross the doors and the narrow hallway opens into this giant room.
2) It lets me travel time and space... if you know what I mean
My wife just calls it my "drug den", haha.
I did look at fiber optic lights for the stars but I left the ceiling intentionally black. It creates this cool effect by having the walls glowing with stars and whatever I've painted to contrast with the completely black ceiling.

CrackingTheCode said: So I painted this well over a year before I even knew about psychedelics. The first time I tripped (ever) was in this room. Talk about a strange feeling realizing you subconsciously did something for your future self without knowing it!
It's our home theater room (project on-going). My wife loves Doctor Who so I made the doors into a Tardis - just need the finishing touches
Interior has a "space" theme.
Tripping in this room is every bit as amazing as you would expect. The walls have 7-10 coats of various paints layered over to create the space effect with a lot of glow in the dark paint.
It's a pretty big room - 450sq ft -- took me a few weekends to paint it all. I have 10 black lights all setup with my Amazon Echo (using Wemo switches).
"Alexa, turn on the Tardis!" and they all come on. Turn off the Tardis" turns them off. When I first set that up I must have entertained myself for a solid 30 minutes just turning the lights on and off
This is how grown ups do it =)

What kind of uv paint did you use? Does it take any "charging" to get that glow?

I got the paint from Glow Inc.
Buy a 2oz sample pack of 5 colors (or two) - kind of pricey, runs $100 per pack.
Edit: Forgot to answer your question about charging. Yes, I have 10 black lights in the room. They can charge the paint in just a few seconds but for best results, allow them to charge for 15 minutes. The purple especially takes awhile to "charge".

That room is amazing, but enough of a mindfuck and I'm gonna run into your wall. Love the god's eye.. That being said, I agree, thriving plants are a must, has surely changed every trip they've been present. Super cool to just hold a plant and study it when tripping too. I need to get some blacklights.

Ha! I'm glad you dig the eye of God My wife says it reminds of her more of the Eye of Sauron. I can't say she's totally wrong.

I was going for the eye of God nebula and I was actually really quite pleased with how well it turned out. I just wasn't entirely sure how I would feel about a glowing 6 foot eye staring at me while tripping though.
Thought it might bug me out or something since it's right in front of my couch.
So I added some pin wheels and now it spins like a vortex. I think it may have sucked me in once, lol.

my friend used to collect "trip toys" which were geometric figures or puzzles that he collected and some you could twist around into other shapes. We would play with those under the black light. And they sell moon lanterns if you wish to have the moon in your room. Or you could make something similar cheaper with one of those inflatable punch balloons by inserting a glow stick before you blow it up and you have your very own luminous globe to bat around the room.

If you don't already have a spinning Led light it is a must! Also another fun thing is LED Lights that you can strap onto your fingers. Would definitely recommend instruments too, if that's up your alley.
