Could this be a morel?? Found in my backyard in Southern California

I'm thinking this is a Morchella rufobrunnea, but I'm no expert. It's been raining WAYYY more than usual here in Southern California, if that helps. Lastly, is there any way I can try to cultivate these since they're in my backyard?
Habitat: Found in my backyard in SoCal, growing under a hedge in compact, clay-like soil.
Gills: Like those of a morel, spongey
Stem: Wavy, waxy, off-white or cream colored
Cap: Morel-like, cream colored
Spore print color: Haven't picked any yet
Bruising:
Other information: Scent of the mushroom, anything else you think is important, large close-up pictures showing stem, cap and gills.

YES!! I'm so happy
I'll wait for it to grow a bit then cut it in half just to make sure.
There are a few others sprouting up too, and I was wondering... is it possible for me to cultivate more by spreading wood chips or something around the area?

This...
I don't know which one just that it's obvious a Morel... lol nice find! SoCal doesn't get many of those where I live!

I know! I honestly didn't think it was even possible to get morels around here, my heart skipped a beat when I first saw it and I though no way...
I'm not sure if this will do anything or not but I gathered a bunch of ashes and some charred bits of wood from the fireplace and scattered them around the patch the morels are growing. I know they often spring up after forest fires so I'm thinking maybe some more will spring up? All I know is that morels are nearly impossible to cultivate, so I'm not getting my hopes up

What about the ash? Would you say that was a good idea?
