polyfill or micropore for filter?

So I will be making a large batch of quart jars for rye grain spawn and I have to say I'm dissatisfied with tyvek, rye seems to colonize slowly with it as filter (1/4 inch holes) and I want to try something else. Now I have polyfill and micropore tape and would like to ask who has experience with micropore as a filter for grain vs polyfill... Any imput appreciated

I doubt the filter has much to do with your rye colonization. it's probably your inoculations or the rye prep itself
PTFE SFD > Cellulose SFD > Polyfil > real tyvek > postal tyvek > ez felt > micropore tape

I used poly for a year it worked great. Some people hate it. I suspect they can't stuff it in the lid hole tight enough

I'll try my best stuffing them holes as tight as I can but I think the european polyfill is actually a bit different from the US version..
