It's good to see Hollywood making some movies that will make people think rather than the typical action/comedy bullshit.

I was unconvinced when you called it. You said something about a Castaneda Movie and then minutes later provided a link.
I can retrodict yesterday's lottery numbers!!!
Joking, you probably aren't that petty.

Yeah, I'm not nearly that petty... I did a search on it, merely out of curiousity - I figured I'd find some old shit (Altered States era).
Let's see here... Whitley Strieber's Communion is old news. Alan Watts already has a movie. Carlos Castenada is getting one. James Redfield (Celestine Prophecy) is getting one. Neale Donald Walsch has a few now. Terence Mckenna even has one.
Pretty much all the esoterica bases are covered now, eh?
Maybe John Edwards and Sylvia Browne are next in line...

I am. Something that I have found is that when it comes to predicting the future, intelligence, or humor, is that if I don't tell people how good I am at them, they usually won't figure it out. So I devise ways to make myself look good. I thought that was what you were doing. I was afraid that you were cutting into my action!!!

Hehe, I clicked that Terrence Mc Kenna link and there was a picture of a postage stamp that said "The Beatles" on it. Peace.

I thought it was strange that you said that because I thought you were as old as me as well.... I don't even know what the hell "our" Beatles would be.
Opeth works fine for me.
So.... for us that don't know (and need to come back on-topic), what is this Celestine Prophecy? Peace.

I don't have time to check that out in depth right now, but seeing the pictures of them like that and the layout of the site, it made me feel as if it was a scam....
I'll read into it though. hehe. Peace.

It's a esoteric book detailing a fictional story of finding these 8 insights (wait no, 9 insights) in south america. These insights supposedly reveal the key to human evolution, and how to attain higher levels of evolution. Damn, i'm a little too stoned right now to explain it in depth. I thought it was the shit when i read it a few months ago, but now that i think about it...it really wasn't that great. Peace

I think that Watts is pretty grounded. I wasn't all that taken by the rest of them though.
-------------------- Our quest for discovery fuels our creativity in all fields, not just science. If we reached the end of the line, the human spirit would shrivel and die. But I don't think we will ever stand still: we shall increase in complexity, if not in depth, and shall always be the center on an expanding horizon of possibilities. -Stephen Hawking
