Is it normal for jars from the same batch to have different colonization speeds?

I have a batch with 5 jars and the fastest colonizing one has about 70% colonized, but the jar right next to it is not even at half. And the slowest one has just a tiny area colonized. They took different times to take hold as well. The fastest had mycelium the second day but the slowest took almost two weeks!

Is this normal, considering they are in the same environment, and were from the same batch with substrate, spores etc. all same?

Spores.... That's absolutely normal, think of it as having kids and being surprised they are not the same..
