Once you've got quarter-sized mycelium patches, its safe to take the tape off.

I put the tape on the holes immediately after I finished injecting the spores, then 3 days later I took off the tape and in 1 and 1/2 weeks all the jars were fully colonized and I had 0% percent contam rate, as well, I used MMGG and golden teacher strain, so draw your own conclusions :smile:
