It's very common in the parks here (specifically in open areas). Probably better to avoid it even if you seem to be immune, you never know if you might develop a sensitivity later. The last few times I got it were worse each time.

I did not, but I am 99.99% sure it was poison oak/ivy. And no reason for anything like that to happen when I have been with only one person for the past 2+ years. Thanks for looking out for me though. I hike quite often so that is a much more likely option.

My guess is from touching one of my dogs that had it on them.
What was your dog doing in between your legs?
Ha I'm guessing the oils were on their fur or the stick I threw into the woods a thousand times and then transferred to my hand, then a quick readjustment of the guys down below and wa-lah

I remember I had dry skin so bad and hiked for 20 miles without any cream or ointment. Fuck that noise. I'm like waddling with 40oz having a great convo with him literally dying down there. I had to drive home in my boxers with one leg out the window to keep air circulation on me.
I always carry gold bond powder and cream now.
I have only had poison oak once and it scarred up my arm for a couple years, but it completely went away.
Sorry your year started out like that.

Yeah if it were any smaller I would have first guessed it being a bad case of heat rash. That shit sucks.

Oh for sure. I wouldn't intentionally mess with the stuff. Even if I am immune to its on contact effects that doesn't mean I can't accidentally rub it in my eyes or something.
What I thought was poison ivy turns out to just be a regular old harmless ivy. I feel bad for misjudging it now.
Besides that my family does tend to develop reactions to things as we age. I feel like I got a weird mix of the good and the bad genes cuz there's loads of things that don't agree with me, though so far as I know I'm not deathly allergic to anything and have basically been immune to the common reaction most people get from mosquito bites for almost a decade now. I think I may have bad reactions to chigger bites though. They swell up way bigger than anything I've seen on chiggers and usually end up scaring after weeks of ridiculous amount of itchiness.

Good poison oak/Ivy story.
I am immune to their effects, doesn't bother me one bit. My friend is super allergic to poison ivy. As a kid I was dick, I grabbed a fist full off poison ivy leaves and rubbed it on his face cause I was mad at him. He spent three weeks in the hospital because it got in his mouth. That was literally the moment I stopped being a bully, and started sticking up for people. The thought I could I have killed my best friend (still best friends 20 years later) is haunting.

Highly allergic to it as well. My nephews aren't allergic at all. So weird.
