San Pedro Cactus with medium sized brown spot & ooze
    #23995678 - 01/09/17 04:24 PM (7 years, 21 days ago)

The subject pretty much says it all. I'm not sure what is going on with the cactus, although all opinions and advice are much appreciated.

It's kept indoors most of the season, during winter especially. I water it very occasionally and have a soil mix of about 50/50 sand/dirt.

I don't see how it could be burned, It's been indoors since the end of summer, and it's winter now. I also watered it much more during the summer time, it was fine during the summer and even through some heavy down pours we had, although now this happens :?

How often do you water in the winter?  Like once a month max or even less and never feed in short days.

Probably about once a month if not more. The plant is about 37 inches tall and that mark is just on the tip of one of it's limbs, it seems to have appeared just since yesterday. I last watered it a few weeks ago, just a little water with  calcium and azomite.

I would not even water late Dec, thru Late march.  Unless they appear very shriveled from drying.  I don't recall doing much with mine that time of year.  It's cold on the window and they grow so slow in the winter.

Alright, well I'll stop watering it and keep track of how often I water it, I hope it gets better.

Might want to cut that end off when the roots dry.  Just let pups grow out.  These are very hardy cacti.

When in doubt do nothing to cacti.
