Studying it is actually very fun. It decomposes higher fungi like butter, it has very cool mycelium, sometimes impossible to see without a scope, it has such a small amount of spores in the air, yet is the biggest contamination involved in this hobby, which really tells you about its aggressiveness, it grows with weed VERY nicely, it's in literally every inch of soil, and some species can even smell sweet like coconut, mint, or candy, some species can even be dangerous to people with low immune systems. Trichoderma is a very very unique and cool AF mold. Ya just gotta look at it as more than the bane of cultivation.

Hell just even to understand the enemy you must come to know and love it first. I never really saw much trich after I figured out my latent bacteria issues. It's pretty easy to be blasé about it when it never shows up before the first flush.

My 2 tips of the day is;

Smoke pot after you finished your day's lab/cultivation work

Buy a yearly planner and write down what you've done in your lab the moment you finish. Don't leave it for the next day or you'll be spending hours and hours sifting through photos and trying to remember crap that you've done when you were just too damn high

My only tip is this:

Use The Search Function (UTSF)

once achieved you will be a shroomery god.

But if you're in a hurry, and really got to go
If you're in a hurry, might have to find out slow
That it's one thing to try and another to fly
You get there quicker just a step at a time
It's one thing to bark, another to bite
The show ain't over till you pack up at night

Hey I figured one of these might be fun. If you have a passing thought or tidbit of something you'd like to share that you think can help people, post away.

I've got two:

1. Never set anything down on the towel underneath your SAB. Treat bottoms of containers as if they're contaminated, and don't stack the bottom of something on wet micropore tape.

2. Don't forget to flame the needle red hot. No alcohol wipes needed. Flame outside the Still-Air Box, between jars not holes. You don't need to be super fast or pulling your arms out, causing air currents. It's the easiest and most important part of the whole thing no need to rush.

just wondering your technique when working and stacking plates with tape, and thanks for the post!

I'll stack them in small pyramids. Two at the base and the one that stands on it just stands on the lids of the others.

Maybe it's a little overboard but hey it works for me.

Me too.. but while letting the tape dry in a SAB I don't stack them like I would in those. Some of mine go in little boxes from when I order stuff, so if I need xyz transfer 4 I can grab a small box and that set is in there ready to go.
