Acquired Industrial Humidity Control Unit for Growing

Will this work in a mushroom grow room? http://humiditycontrol.com/product/250-400-cfm-horizontal-conditioner/ I picked this unit up a few weeks ago. It's never been installed. The website says the following: Parameter's humidity generating systems: Humidifying, dehumidifying, heating, cooling, and circulation capabilities are all packaged in one self-contained unit. This unit is specifically designed to provide 250-400 CFM of conditioned air to small rooms and reach-in chambers. The conditioner is designed to produce very precise humidity and temperature control. It looks like it would do all that is needed to control the temperature (heat or cooling) and relative humidity (20-95%) in a confined environment. It also says: Precise temperature and humidity control High grade temperature compensated humidity sensor Stainless steel construction High-low or deviation alarms Compact package Variable speed condenser fan that automatically adjusts to ambient and load changes Variable speed process fan for pre-validation airflow adjustments Direct coupling to exterior room wall to conserve floor space with no exterior ducting
Wouldn't this be the perfect unit for such a thing, or am I missing something?

It looks pretty neat and I could imagine it being useful for a fairly spacious grow room. If 250cfm is the minimum air flow rate if would be gross overkill for a tiny space. The graph seems to show a maximum humidity of ~93% so a bit low for part of the growing cycle. At 320 pounds you'll need help installing it. If you're in the US the 208 operating voltage could be a pita if Europe then not at all.
I'd love to know what you paid as I'd think retail would be incredibly pricey.
Have fun,
Earhman

Earhman, It was given to me for free. An aerospace company was giving away a bunch of heat pumps and this was also in their way. I was at the right place at the right time.
I just got off the phone from the manufacturer and they said it would be a great fit for what I am proposing. The last one this size they sold in May, 2016 for over $18,000 not including shipping.
It is 208/220 volt and you're right it is heavy.
It controls the temperature and humidity, but wouldn't I need to incorporate fresh air into the growing space? The technician told me that it is meant to control a confined environment such as a space to keep pharmaceuticals in. However they can add makeup air to it if needed.
I am new to this, and have lots to learn. I plan on going through this sites posts and making sure that this is the hobby for me. Not knowing yet how much time it takes to cultivate mushrooms and what kind of market there is in my area. Also what licenses and permits are required.

If it's for pharma check and see if it's operation parameters include being able to handle such high humidity continuously.
Seems like it's pretty useless for anything we do. Our grows are passive. And green houses/Martha's are just dialed in. Commercial growers have experience and usually use much cheaper solutions

bodhisatta, The unit I have says up to 95% continuous humidity. The newer models are 93%. But if I understand what your saying about it being passive, it is needing fresh air continuously? In talking to the mfg. of this unit, it is not designed for that, but could be configured that way (probably at an enormous expense). So, mushroom farming requires passive ...........?????
