Hello Shroomery,
I've managed to take 2 of the cakes from my failed run last week and broke them up using some cow manure. The pictures I'm about to show you are 2 trays on the 7th day of incubation. How do they look and is that cobweb mold?
Also, if they are good, can I throw them right in the Sgfc?
Tray 1

Tray 2

To me that looks like bacterial growth I would wait for a more experience cultivator though.

Remember man that could just be one of the earlier stages of the mycelium since it's been moved into fresh substrate. Take my word with a HUGE grain of salt...I literally am just seein pins on my 2nd PF cake, hopefully someone more experienced comes your way soon and good luck, I wouldn't lose hope just yet that that's some form of contamination until you do hear from some of the other guys around here.
I am very interested to find out since I plan on a tray very soon, fingers crossed man, or have you bit the bullet and moved to chamber or tossed it already??

It looks like mycelium reacting to a bacterial infection prolly dirty spawn
Do you have a pic of the jars used?

Hey did you case / patch with anything? I'm still learning too but it looks like tomentose mycelium growth, although Van Hatton may have a point. From my limited experience, when I see early growth like that in a tub, I patch with some casing and that seems to encourage nice rhyzomorph growth, which usually leads to a nice tub. Maybe some one with Uber experience will chime in here....
