Hey brothers, just need someones help on verification that what im currently looking at is actually mycelium, ive been checking posts (such as https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/22020260 and https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/17231150/fpart/1/vc/1) to inform myself on how white contaminants look, and it seems to my novice eye that theres no contamination occuring. http://imgur.com/a/jxHEB
Btw,they are a week in, and the temperature has been adequate all along. Thanks in advance! Much loves...

Looks like you have some myc there, but also a lot of bacteria too. Do at least 2 or 3 more transfers to clean it up before starting spawn.

it might be helpful to make a Z pattern with the spores next time you start. This time when they germinate its easier to tell what your're looking at.

oh so you propose i use the most organized and "rhizo" mycelium transfer to another petri with agar and itll have more chances of predominating against this bacteria? Also, please teach me where/how youve spotted this contaminant.

I can tell a lot of bacteria is present from all the colours going on, the weak, slightly slimy look of some sections, as well as the little specks on other parts of the plate. A good rule of thumb to follow for newbs is "if it aint white, it aint right". To make it easier for you I've used red to circle the gross looking parts...hopefully you can see what I mean. I've used green to circle the sections you should transfer from.
Bacteria sucks but its not the end of the world...remember, the whole point of agar is obtain clean growth by transferring AWAY from bacteria, and although this plate is pretty severe, you can expect some gross stuff when working with spores or wild fruits. Atleast this shit isnt showing up in a spawn jar...better to waste $0.05 of agar than the time and money that go into making spawn...
Next time upload your pictures to the 'pics' section by clicking the link under your username, then copy and paste the hyperlink into your text. You will get more responses that way.
