Grow patch
    #23988559 - 01/07/17 05:05 AM (7 years, 1 month ago)

Ok, so roughly a year ago I buried a few cakes in my garden, not having any type of manure I didn't have high hopes for the patch but why not give it ago with just straw...
Anyway I kept an eye on the patch for a few months, watering it every once and a while..... nothing was happening, so I thought

Will be paying more attention to this little spot now

I would assume all of the hot weather down under and lack of water may have affected the appearance of them.. they bruise blue and leave a nice dark print

The stem does show slight green staining to start off with, but a photo of the spore print or a photo of the underside of the cap would be the deciding factor. I would like to think the veils would be purple since they are torn but it's possible it was too soon after the tear to stain.

Don't consider this a fact but I remember reading a trip report from someone here on shroomery consuming wild cubensis and it had photos of said mushrooms, they looked exactly like those! I remember being confused as to their size and appearance...
