I got the Red Hot Car ep because Squarepusher's on Nothing and I respect Trent Reznor's taste. I don't like it very much. Maybe they have better stuff though.

yeah, it is...hehe

if you like Squarepusher, get some ?-Ziq (pronounced 'music')
it's the same kinda jerky, abrupt style, only with heavier drums--more dnb i guess.

also, Amon Tobin is pretty bad ass too.

check on www.allmusic.com for ratings on best albums and songs.

"Squarepusher is your daddy.. makes all different styles of drum and bass."

Search soulseek for 'Tetra-Sync'. It's the best track from his new album 'Ultravisitor'. This track confirms it. The man is clearly a musical genious.

question_for_joo: My red hot cock/car is a uk garage/two step pisstake. It was released when the 2step craze shot through the roof and it actually made it to the top 10 of the dance charts in the UK.

I have the Red Hot Car EP, and the insanity of the drum n' bass is what attracted me to squarepusher.

i just downloaded tetra-sync. it's a live version, methinks.

it fucking rules. thanks man.

but i've listened to some of the other junk i downloaded by squarepusher from soulseek and it leaves a lot to be desired, especially after hearing the RHC ep.

thanks for the song suggestion, tho!

It's probably the album version. It starts with about two minutes of live, and the rest is studio I think. I can't get over the awesome bass in that track (SP is a bassist and plays most of his basslines himself).

If you like the insane drill n'bass, you should check out some of his earlier works. Here's a quick guide:

Burningn'n Tree - some of his first stuff, audio quality isn't all that good. Central Line, Sarcacid Part 1&2 and Unreleased are top tracks.

Feed me Weird Things - Ambient/acid drill n'bass (check out Tundra, Theme from Ernest Borgnine, U.F.O.'s over Leytonstone)

Big Loada - frantic melodic DRILL n'bass (A journey to Reedham (7am mix), Massif (stay strong), Port Rhombus)

Hard Normal Daddy - my favourite.. jazzy stuff. Papalon is my absolute favourite SP track. Other good tracks are Coopers World, Vic Acid, Male Pill part 13, Rat P's and Q's.

Maximum Priest EP - Song: Our underwater torch is good, the rest is a bit too far out for my tastes.

Budokhan Mindphone - Iambic 5 poetry, his best 'laid back' track

Music is Rotted One Note - 'live' jazz weirdness, Don't Go Plastic and My Sound are good, the rest is a bit too much.

Go Plastic - you already got this I guess.. nice but noisy tracks.

Do You Know Squarepusher - mediocre stuff except for the title track which absolutely kills and Annstrom Feck-4. Also got a strange cover version of Love Will Tear Us Apart by Joy Division, and a live disc.

Ultravisitor - ranges from total bliss to extreme weirdness.. best album of 2004 for sure
