The food so nice they named it twice.

Couscous tastes like ground up, rehydrated bread balls. Nothing good.

I love couscous! So much better than rice!
Couscous, quinoa, and bulgur are the best grains.

You gotta get the good quality couscous and eat it with some curry or some curry type sauce

Yeah, the cous cous that comes in those single-serving cardboard boxes are no good.

I've been meaning to try wild rice, it looks like it'd taste the best. I prefer long-grain rice over short-grain rice.

I like couscous but I haven't eaten it in a long time. I think you can even prepare it with cold water.

You have to cook it and add flavour. Cous cous done well is actually super nice. It has a really nice fluffy texture. I actually made a giant batch of it today for next week.

damn....I was rip roaring baked when I posted this. Couscous is the bomb though. And to the guy that said they taste like dehydrated bread balls, like others have said you gotta get the gourmet shit. Sooo tasty when done right. With like toasted pine nuts. mmmmmmm.

I dunno whats wrong with me. Like I like rice more than I used to, but I don't like RICE like totally rice. Not white rice. Wild rice is cool. I can eat the shit out of that. But white rice has to be like a few spoon fulls over a dish for me to be happy with it. I can eat rice dishes that are well seasoned but I don't particularly like to.
I just hate couscous. I don't know why. Everyone has told me 'well you just have to have it done right' but I've tried it at least a dozen times now.
Quinoa on the other hand... yeah I can get down with that.

Brown rice is pretty good. Never really liked "wild rice" too much. It's not really even rice.

You guys ever try black rice?

I got a jar of that stuff a few months back and I really like it. Goes really well with stews, but I eat it by itself as well when I'm eating fish or something.

I'm the same way, I think white rice is bland and has no taste.
But you're apparently eating white rice the right way. The reason they serve plain sticky white rice in Asian restaurants is because white rice is supposed to act as a palate cleanser. So that's the reason they serve it with such salty food. Makes sense now really.
