yeah for me ~5% beer hits me slow (takes 30 minutes) and peaks and then has a slow come down hard liquor 35-50% percent hits me really quick like 10 minutes and the comedown is harsher, its also quicker and more of a headspin than beer for example
your post might not be in the right forum btw

Yeah I've found different liquors have different effects I'm sure it's based on terpene entourage effect
I've also found quality batches of booze give much cleaner buzzes and do not leave as nasty hangovers or none at all with responsible consumption

You see if you are too skilled at not falling for their traps and stating logically sound debunks then other accounts who purposefully agree with 90% of the truth join in and get the entire topic off the main points. It's their 1960s version of damage control and diversion but man it's painfully obvious in 2017

Depends on mood and tolerance, as well as what I ate. Beer is filling and sorta sleepy. 80 proof is quick and easy. Been drinking beer and 80 proof. Hadn't had wine in awhile. Wine is a bit warmer, makes me flush.
The stronger the abv, the more energy it gives me.

I think fermented beverages like beer and wine are more likely to cause bad hangovers because they have methanol, distilled beverages are cleaner because the methanol is separated during the distillation process.
On the other hand I feel like fermented beverages give me a more euphoric high, maybe because they have different types of methyl and ethyl alcohols that are separated during destilation? I don't know.

Methanol is only made sometimes, I think it depends on what you ferment. I think it's gapes only. So other distillates and brews are safe. But when distilling brandy let the first extract go to waste. That is why distilling is illegal at home. That and people would ferment wood sugars like idiots.

Yes...wine makes people emotional.
Whiskey and scotch make people not give a fuck and vodka gives like a crazy almost stimulant drunk. Vodka is for fucking crazy people in my opinion, my girlfriend's Russian and drinks that stuff.

I notice a difference, and also a difference in the hangover
Cheap shit beer will get me a pretty baseline drunkenness and I luckily don't get bad hangovers from it
IPAs will get me fucked, maybe because some of them are like 7-9% but I can only have 4-5 before I am too drunk lol. The hangovers are fucking awful though, I think the hops don't agree with me too much. I cant even function the next day because of the headache and nausea after only having a couple.
Wine gives me a headache and a warmer feeling drunk, but I dont like to drink a lot of wine. It's too dry to enjoy for me yet too weak for me to want to drink it to get drunk.
Liqour doesnt seem to get me as drunk as beer or even wine. It's sort of a cleaner more simple feeling if I had to describe it. I can have 8 drinks of liqour but maybe only 6 beers (assuming they're both equal to 1 drink) The hangovers suck though. Especially if it's cheap vodka or tequila. I love rum though

huge differecne between vodka and beer for me
I used to only drink beer and now I've switched over to vodka completely
feels immensely cleaner, clearer, WAY less fattening and the the same buzz on beer that I go for on vodka would have me fuked up in the morning.
Not vodka, sometimes I'll feel a little bit of "eh might have had a bit much" but it's unusual and when it does happens it doesn't really last that long. Just gotta breathe, meditate some, take a cool shower and relax

I still like a good beer once in a while. I like ipas a lot myself, I love all of those tastes and aromas imparted by all the hops. Some ipas often taste like grapefruit soda or something similar, no reminisence of beer. And beer is very nutritional too so I do like to have a nice ipa not to get drunk but to drink with a meal or just chill and sit down to some tv with.
The only liqour I like to drink straight is rum, even cheap rum is not that bad imo. So I usually mix it with coke or a mixed drink which are nice because it doesnt taste like much and gets you turnt. Useful for parties, but I can get super fucked up and not even notice so I only drink it once in a while so I don't drink it at home really haha

Drunk is drunk. Hard liquor just hits you so much faster. And dehydrates you faster too. Its all about pace, hydration, and not having an empty stomach.

Distillation will remove some of the methanol, but not all of it. Any ethanol you buy is going to have some other alcohols, ketones, and aldehydes in it, they're just not cost effective to remove and cannot be done so with distillation alone. Cheaper liquors are likely going to have more than the high end stuff, but I wouldn't go by price or brand name alone, just bc something is expensive or well known doesn't equate to quality.

Don't forget about terpenes! The molecules which give off aromas m
New marijuana research is finding it's more complicated than sativa or indica. They are finding the high is driven by the terpene ratios and contents I bet this carries over to alcohol
So now that peopel are extracting plants terpene profiles we may be able to make violent whisky drinkers become light and happy just a thought
