How can I help fight against the war on consciousness?

Hey guys,
Not really sure where to start. I'm a 25 year old Aussie guy that (like most of us here) wants to see some change in my country, and the world in regards to the legality of psychedelics, entheogens, and other natural mind altering compounds. My question, which I'm sure has been asked a thousand times, is this:
What can I do to help bring about change? How can I help fight against the war on consciousness? How can I educate people about the true nature of these substances?
The powers that be can only hide the truth for so long. The more people made aware of the truth, the greater our chances become. I would love to one day see marijuana become legal or at least regulated in Australia. I'd also love to one day own a medical marijuana pharmacy
Appreciate any tips!

This is something I've been thinking a lot about lately. I think numbers are the key. There is power in numbers. And I think the Shroomery is a great place to recruit those numbers. Think about it... At the very least, we probably all dig psychedelics. 888 users in the last 10 minutes. 888 people to sign petitions, write letters, protest, etc. Those 888 each teach one person, you have 1776 (haha) people. Sounds like a revolution number to me haha.
Change can start here, we just need to focus as a forum on common goals.

Don't be a 1960s hippie and say "fuck the system." No one listens to the guy on the street with dreadlocks yelling about how we are all getting fucked. The powers that be have done an excellent job in programming people to brush off outliers as "crazy, conspiracy theorists, who just need to get a job."
Work inside the system to make change.
Disguise yourself. Dress like them, talk like them, get "qualifications" so people will listen to you. Elevate your place in society, if you have the ability to. Be a good person.
Plant seeds. It's all you can do. You can show them the door, they have to walk through it. They are much more likely to walk through a door presented by someone they consider "safe" rather than a dreadlocked hippie.
No offense to my brothers and sisters who show their hippiness on the outside, but this is a mind war. We have to take certain measures in order to win.
"The Matrix is a system, Neo. That system is our enemy. But when you're inside, you look around, what do you see? Businessmen, teachers, lawyers, carpenters. The very minds of the people we are trying to save. But until we do, these people are still a part of that system and that makes them our enemy. You have to understand, most of these people are not ready to be unplugged. And many of them are so inured, so hopelessly dependent on the system, that they will fight to protect it." - Morpheus, The Matrix (1999)
Yes, I did just quote Morpheus. I think it is relevant.

i think the most successful effect you can have is to take the stuff, in the right environment (set & setting). as much as possible, without interfering with the things you need to do in life. i don't think this is a game, but it does seem to have the effect of it - the higher you go and the more often, it's like it has a prison busting effect on down here. as if each mind being propelled into whatever space you really go to via taking the stuff, catalyses the rest of society.
the other kind of approach is just the same as awareness campaigns about any subject matter. make a links webpage, promote it, have a list of your goals, sign petitions, start petitions. wear t-shirts with reminder slogans and graphics. paint similar things on pavements and the likes.
i don't know if it still exists, but there were groups like Cognitive Liberty (dot org).
beyond that, well, again it's like monkey-wrenching and so forth. you need to know what you're doing, it's like military ops stuff. i'd never encourage martyrdom myself, getting into trouble with 'the law' is an unwanted side-effect you should seek to avoid.
beyond that, i suspect there might be some old tomes with some good info on how to call in who really runs reality, and they'd legalise it right away. in the sense they wouldn't even need to. if i ever figure it out i'd post about it.
-------------------- The real terrorists are the ones killing the trees & destroying the wild spaces: The sell-outs working for 'the man', and the capitalist scabs they work for, putting their jobs before nature. They should be killed, but realistically that takes an army, so: Legalise Euthanasia including for not wanting to suffer this shithole world - opiates and potassium chloride injections.

Get organised. There are a number of political parties in favour of drug law reform. You could join one and help their campaigns.
The larger cities in Australia have psychedelic societies - they would be happy to acquire more members.

Yeah, but that's hard. You might need to get a PhD to advance the science, or become a lawyer to try and change laws, get a master's in public health to affect policy etc.
It's easier to for a drum circle and bitch.
