First let me say im open to why this wouldn't work. You start with pasty ezlc tek. Once colonized you transfer the clean lc to a new lc solution of 8% complex sugars. Measuring out 300 ml in a qt jar. Because of super high nute in lc the myc will grow slow and thick which will give you time to test out that culture form original lc. If you like the culture beyond that then move to plan b.
Plan b. Once culture is tested out use two syringes of 60 ml to suck up pure water 100ml and 10 grams of dissolved agar. Suck the agar solution while still warm in sauce pan. Wrap syringes up with al foil and pressure cook at 15 psi for 1 hour. 2 to 3 hours later while hot agar solution is still warm inject it into your lc jar still colonizing. Once it hardens you should have a agar cultures 3.5 inchs deep.
When you want to use it again just make more sterile water syringes and inject into jar when it becomes malleable.

Prolonged growth on simple sugars causes genetic mutation and senescence, not for storage. Sugars are toxic at high levels, not a stable energy source. Use starch, 100% stable.
Why not make starch agar and use the lc on that directly like normal?

I believe starch is a complex suger. I was going to make rice flour agar and corn starch lc for this plan. But your right about mutations

How about trying an li? I've got a couple that have been sitting around for a couple months that grow much slower than an lc would but still pack a punch apparently.

Pasty deleted his recipe so I cant say what was being used, starch is a complex (polymeric) carbohydrate. Just as long as you stay away from actual sugar, 100% sugar kills, 100% starch is stable.
It is too easy to absorb, and the myc absorbs too much then mutates or dies.
Humans regulate sugar absorption via insulin and wee wee.
