So about 3 hours total. Live in BFE, probably 20-30 homes in the mile out mountain circle they were circling.
Hopefully and probably nothing, but makes ya wonder.
I used to have a massive grow tent in my garage hps bulbs filters and blowers running loads of plants that stank loads of lab equipment out in the open. Obviously stupid and I noticed almost evrry day a helicopter would fly over but hang around for a few minutes I could never see it but they have cameras that can take pictures from super far away. Once I noticed the helis I shat my pants and got rid of the lot now everything is small one plant cfl bulbs all in my house so insulated from out side. Maybe they were trying to get evidence from a tip you could smell the plants from the street, nothing ever happened maybe it was nothing just a panic attack maybe I cleaned up in time, all I know is never again. Once the realisation hit me that ive left myself wide open I felt like I was having a heart attack ive never cleaned up so fast lol. Always cover your arse protect your freedom especially in the states youve got the dea and those guys seem crazy.

I wonder if the weight for 15 psi is universal for every pc, or if the capacity of the pc changes the amount of weight needed to reach 15

Makes sense. There would be the same amount of pressure coming out of the same size hole regardless of volume

Yeah, I just case with Verm ... my substrate now is 100% Rye, but can use it with any substrate. I sterilize a bunch of dry verm in jars and it lasts a long time and just use a few spoons for each jar that needs casing but a lot of people say there's no reason to sterilize it. It's so easy to do I just do it I guess.

ComebackKid said: Anyone with presto 23 quart pressure canner know if this is the right weight for 15psi?

Either my weight is off or my gauge is screwed cause it starts shaking at 11 psi
I'm thinking and hoping it's just the gauge but would appreciate a second opinion
I weighed my rocker weight and got a different weight than you did...

So I went to Home Depot and grabbed a few sizes of fender washers.
Found one that weighed a little more than a quarter and sandwiched it inside my presto rocker weight.
Now my weight is just a few grams lighter than yours...
Got some grains soaking for a pc run tomorrow. Hopefully everything goes smoothly

Keep this in mind. If you can't add more weight increase your PC time. A lot of people had no problems with lower PSI and 90 minutes. But it might add extra safety.

As I wrote. It works for some people. I just wanted to mention it. As long as you don't have problems it's OK. If you get problems you know why.

Physics mang. Basically, the point is that the pressure cooker controls it's pressure in reference to the outside pressure. If you are using a pressure cooker at high altitude, the pressure cooker sets its internal pressure proportional to the outside air pressure which is slightly lower than at sea level.
