Do you have pictures of what thin substrate would produce?

When talking about cubensis and bulk. I know we want our substrate to be around 3-4" for best results. However, I was wondering how a very thin layer would produce?
Like, lets say we use a QT of Spawn and => QT of Sub. in a 20 QT tub. Giving approx 1" or less overall Sub. I would assume adding a casing would almost be required? Thoughts?
Cool pictures to show me?

Ive done it, though I dont think I have the pics any more.
You basically end up with a smaller fruit bodies due to less moisture retention of the substrate.

I either used the wrong jar or it was mislabeled. Was first time trying to spawn Pan Cyans in a 1 inch sub. Pretty damn sure this isn't Pans :P
All i got was one big(ish) shroom growing out the side, grew weird (not sure if contamed) but had this weird fuzzy, rough outershell. Eventually, after a lot of misting, and coxing, it flushed some pins, but it was pretty poor. One fat twisted mutant in the middle and a faerie ring of small ass shrooms and a few stragglers here ad there. Will definitely go for 4inch subs.

Kind of interesting you even got that big guy out of that small sub.
So, long story short I decided to use a questionable jar of spawn that likely had some bacteria since the master jar I tested ended up having bacteria(but survived check it here). I had a tiny bit of sub left from one of my other projects. Less than the amount of spawn. If anything, maybe it will colonize quickly?
I'll take a picture here. Chances are it may not even make it.
I normally don't case due to issues I've had in the past. But since it is so thin I may have to case to get any results.
I'm only doing this for the fun of it. I don't care either way. I am in hopes that the high spawn vs sub ratio will help it survive.
I spawned this little project Monday evening. It is now Thursday Morning.

Came across this pic today. Thought I had deleted it...

Thin sub, second flush. Cant remember why it was on a rack though.

Wow....I actually had a similar idea about using all sides of the substrate. From your experience does this give you a better yield?
I can tell from that picture you are a busy busy person!

With a sub that thin, do you trash after the first flush? Or is it still worth keeping around
