New 2 Shroomery =)
Habitat: -Found in woodlands in Southern California -6 miles within the coast
Gills: -looks like purple dark brown
Stem: -Hollow, -(2-3) inch stem -white color
Spore print color: -(taking spore prints now, will upload asap)
Bruising: -No Bruising visible
Thanks for looking, appreciate any help!! All pics below are different specimens of the same sample.

So Cal area cinctulus are going off right now. I'm on the central coast and it's crazy how many I'm finding. Only say that because the first ones at a glance resemble cinctulus. I'm not a trusted identifier so get a professional opinion I'm just saying keep looking and you will find them.

They are far from cinctulus, and in the wrong habitat.

Yes the stipe however and just hear me out on this one. I've been finding them on bare patches of dirt near logs on my property. I'm thinking the rains washed down the nutrients maybe I don't know I'm just saying I've found a few just growing out of dirt. You're the pro and I'm just talking because I like the sound of my voice.

Usually Psathyrellacae grow where other mushrooms don't/won't/can't.
It's inactive and nonedible. I'm not an expert tho. These guys are.
You're right though look near logs and lignous rich soil. Keep looking for woodlovers.
