I made mistake,making quart brf cakes.In the end,i put them to use by casing them...Casings colonized,and i put them into fruiting...I made chamber,that looks like monotub for casings...So now,i dont know how to keep humidity,and all misting technique are cloudy to my perceptions...So,any help,and regime for raising humidity is welcome...Or maybe casing substrate alone is enough.

Ok,so this is whole story and i need all help finishing this up...So i started growing shrooms from spores,made a mistake and left with 6 one quart cakes...I heard that they are somewhat impotent cakes,so i decided to make best of them...Three of them are cased,one allready put into fruiting chamber,other will finish colonizing in 3 days i think...So i made chamber resembling monotub,and put case inside...No perlite or fish bubble pump,just box with holes stuffed with polyfill.In what regime i should mist,how to mist,mist mycelium or just inner walls,or buy a fuckin perlite and put it on the bottom.This is picture of chamber.I have one bigger and deeper case waiting to be put into fruiting.
I also cased two cakes that i cut in half,and put them in round containers...They are colonizing but im not very proud of them...Any help for finishing this grow because im first time grower is appreciated.

So first, not every knowledge on internet is absolute and tru....Yes,6 quart brf cakes,all colonized except one. I know its mistake,but improvisation and not being blind sheep can get you to something.(I suppose you are devoted catholic,you sound like one)....So this is answer devoted to you,rest of this thread is meant for other,non violent, peacefull people to answer.
After i realised i made mistake with quart brf cakes,after they finished colonisation,i decided to get a few spores at least out of this mess.So this is what ive done with monstrous quart cakes.
I cased 3 of them,and put first colonized case into the chamber which you can see in picture,and put it into something resembling monotub...I was reading info on misting ,and i cant conclude what to do next with this chamber,to keep humidity....First tray was made with just one,grated cake,and finished colonizing for 7 days.
This is second tray,with two brf cakes,cased in 50/50 coco/verm with a little bit of gypsum...Very nicely colonized,i think it will finish in 2-3 days.
Because i made a mistake,i wanted to make as much experiments,so i cut one cake in half and put two halfs in two round containers(dont know what to do with this stupid things) so if anyone have idea i am willing to accept it
So,after i put second tray into this FC/monotub chamber,i want advice on misting and fanning,that is the main question....
Second question is,can i use only mycelium part from liquid culture,or whole liquid...
And yes,tray is completely colonized....One cake is ruined,and i have this one left.One quart brf cakes.
P.S. I dont want answer from this nazi,elitist,stupid,pretentious guy...

What isnt right, i have so much colonized trays...I just need to know regime for misting and fanning...Ye,im doing bulk right now,i damn the day i read pf tek,much more complicated

Golden Mamoth spores,brf substrate,casing coco/verm.Quart cakes finished colonizing in 3 weeks...Waited one more week.Cased them...Made a mono tub,just because i need it for later use...Two trays...What to do...Misting not misting,fanning not fanning.Maybe layer of perlite...If misting and fanning,at what frequency...

anyway...
your trays look decent. dont worry about fanning so much just make sure the surface is moist.
im still not sure what that doughnut looking cake is but... cool.
dont use quart jars for brown rice flour cakes. stick with half pint jars. even a pint is pushing it. never a quart.

Man,im just laughing now for the mess i made...Sory,yes i understand,i know how to communicate but im not native speaker...From what i have learned,i stuffed higher holes on tub lightly,and other ones tighter...I think thats good for air exchange...Yes,there are 2,5 quarts of spawn combined with substrate in first tray...Second tray is larger and deeper,and look very good...So i mist them when i see that they are not moist enough...Only confusion here is that,i made monotub for bulk grow,and practically it is not monotub,i just put my cases in there...That is where all fanning,misting confusion comes from...On the other site,they told me to fan and mist everyday,and man im pissed now,because i dont know what to do with this trays...And about cakes sticked in ground,dont know,maybe 2 shrooms will grow to get a spores... Its funny to me as well...When i was doing it,i didnt know that trays will make it so good,so i wanted to improvise in more ways...I have 10 jars of whole grains,with little sparkles of mycelium,but why waste this,maybe i can get few shrooms...Anyway,sorry...

yes on the air exchange.
its hard to tell someone when to mist. the easy answer is 'when it needs it'
basically you dont want to surface to dryout. always moist like the say you made it.
still have no clue about that other experiment you got going.

Cake split in two,buried in casing material...If i leave it for 2 weeks on 28 C,maybe it will colonize whole pot...If not,few shrooms will stick on top.I know,very stupid So i should not worry about AE, just misting occasionaly.

Idea...Take two buried cakes,they are contam resistant now,with all casing substrate,dessinfect my nutri bullet,shred all,case,and cover with thin layer of substrate...Seems legit?
