My cakes are starting to pin

I haven't been doing a lot of fanning and have been misting as needed but now that I am getting pins, should I be misting and fanning more or just keep my procedure as is?

Keep your procedure as it is. Pictures would be nice but it sounds like you are doing it right.

It's been almost two years since I've had a grow of my own. Just seeing your post about pinning makes me miss it all the more. Not that I need the final product--have plenty of that, but oh how I miss the growing process. Waiting and waiting and waiting until those first pins show up. God that's an exciting day.
Share some pictures when you get the chance. I'd love to see the progress!

Be careful not to over mist those little delicate pins into aborts.

BTW, OP. In a shotgun fruiting chamber built to spec, fanning boils down to simply scooping the CO2 out, misting, then fanning just enough to get air movement going again. You don't have to lord over it and fan until your arms fall off. "Scoop", mist, gentle wave or two and put the lid back on.
In my grows I found I had to stop misting right before or right as they pinned. Everything stayed very incredibly wet in there. I'm sure it varies on size of the SGFC. I noticed larger ones take forever and seem to lose the basic principles after a certain size. I wouldn't mist pins if my cakes were still wet and heavy. I'm not going to disagree with your advice because pins should be misted in bulk but not like, a lot, on cakes.
And yeah sorry I condensed posts and removed a few things for clarity here.
OP: Mind throwing some pics at us?

Thanks for the responses everyone! I have been at work since this was posted and I should have a picture added to this thread sometime tomorrow.
I failed on my last two attempts at fruiting due to overfanning so just to see a pin is a major step for me

Fanning is just a bit of a wave over the top to start evap. That's all, no more no less, the SGFC does the rest.
