outdoor plot

the temps around here are starting to get a bit warmer...its like 50-60...and i was wanting to start and outdoor plot of some cubes...now they dont grow im my area...there isnt high enough rH. but i could water...i was thinking about digging alike a foot deep hole maybe 2 feet wide and filling it with horse dung and spent-cakse/casing...its this possible..or is it just risky for contams....and outdoor teks would be cool if you could post them..thanks

Well, you should probably be able to pull off the humidity somehow, but when the area has more humidity than the surroundings, the bugs just love that shit. My FOAF has probably wasted $100 bucks in spore before getting it right. He said he had excellent results with the "digging the hole" thing in well aged compost. It seems the bugs dont exist for some reason. Also you may want to look for or make a large compost heap at the edge of a pond. The moisture seems to wick up it making it stay humid longer between waterings.

Digging a hole in sandy soil will most like result in failure because of the lack of moisture and nutrients in the surroundings. Also, it would be hard to maintain the constant humidity by just watering.

I'm sure we'd all like to see how it turned out in the Grow Log forum.
