The bacteria is back,  Im going to have to move my grow room upstairs for a while.  How does this work then, does it become airbourne and just live in the area till there is no more food?  Im thinking my latest SGFC is not up to scratch.  Im going to go and buy an 60/80 L taller tub similar to this and give that a try.

Not sure if to chuck the perlite out or to just bleach  the fuk out of it.  Im using  5% chlorine spray again to try to kill this mo fo but im not liking what is does to the mycellium and then finally the mushrooms.

This is the set up

Finally strangely enough the bacteria doesnt seem to be effecting the king Oyster.  Could it be a species specific thing or am I just being hopeful?

As you can see the myc as turned blue on the cubensis and not on the kings

I might make my own thread with this as success could be helpful.  Maybe a few pointers and info on what to do first could set me up.

What can I do to stop this.  I dont really want to lose all these grows as at the mo im getting one flush then at the end the mushies are being attacked.  Im still drying them after washing but im not sure I should consume them.  I havent felt bad whilst tripping but you never know with these things

yes, you can.

Another fact:
PEHD trash bags survive a PC cylce. They can take 130°C-140°C before they start to melt. The problem is that they rip easily when they are hot. You can not fill them with a lot of substrate.

Sorry to quote long post but man Edmun I know the pain. I've had contam issues the past 4 months or so. I try to be crazy clean and precise in my work, as methodical as I can be. But still get problems more often than not.

It has to be my closed off, carpeted, grow room. I can't dial it to much else

I can't stand SGFC's.  Only time I ever have contam issues is when I try to grow inside of them.

Mono's are much easier ... you can grow just about anything in a monotub too... Much easier to keep clean and no insect issues either.

I hate SGFCs too. I fruit every thing in monos. If it can be fruited in a shotgun, it can be fruited more easily in a mono.

I've never really understood why so many advise SGFC's for a person's first PF-tek growing experience... fanning ... misting ... fanning ... misting ... flooding the zone with a river of contaminants ... Keeping the perlite wet ... drilling a bazillion holes ... messy ... heavy ... drippy ... a magnet for insects ...

I just don't get it.

I wouldn't fit oysters in a SGFC either. When it comes to moste edibles. I only fruit in open air or a green house.

Just curious.

You need a lot of cakes for a monotub to work. SGFC is like a one size fits all solution

Or, use a small mono.

I understand that when cakes are dunked and rolled and fully colonized they're pretty contam resistant and all that, but it just makes no sense to go to such lengths to keep everything ultra clean and then, in fruiting, to literally fan all the contaminants in the room all over your cakes 5 times a day while leaving the windows open for gnats and other bugs to come check it out.
