Shared housing

So I have this job opportunity. Moneys ok have the potential to save a lot. Job seems like somthing I would enjoy. The only hold up for me is I'd have to live in employee housing and it is shared. As in communal kitchen and bathroom then you share a room with one other person.
I never did the college thing so I never lived in a dorm. I've had roommates but always had my own room. So I'm kinda apprehensive to take the job. As I will basically loose all me personal space I have come accustom to. But I feel like it's only 8 months outta my life and if I hate it I never have to do it again. But if I never go I will never know if I could have enjoyed it. So what is your guys expirences with dorm style housing is it a cluster fuck? Or can it be a good experience?

You "have to" live in community housing?
I wouldn't take the job. Chances are they'll kill you or wipe your memory; that is if you don't drink whatever koolaid they're pushing yourself.
Good benefits? What kind of money are we talking?

I don't "have" to live in employee housing but its a resort type place so its expensive and limited housing options. So I have to live in employee housing for it to work. But I would get to live somewhere cool and get to save some money. I would be making a higher wage then I have before as well as paying considerably less for housing.

take the job. worry about living later... sounds like it's already taken care of. i wish i had that kind of opportunity - a job that allows me to save and live? sounds peachy.

Do it up man. You might like the company of those you work with enough that living with them doesn't matter too much, and you could always change your mind later if it's not for you.

do it, 8 months is nothing.
this sounds like seasonal or cruise ship employment. I used to work in live entertainment doing lighting and had friends who would go on cruise ships for months at a time, it's a shit show, living quarters are dismal(very small, cramped, definitely college dorm like), everyone's always drunk and banging each other, no one I knew ever said they regretted it - it's a good way to save money.
