help... Yellow/orange growth (update 1/3/17)

I have noticed this spot in my #7 jar this morning is it where the mycelium is stressing, is it "mycelium piss" or is it metabolites or is it fighting off something? Do I trash it or keep it or can I remove it idk it's my first grow so I need expert help!

1/3/17 i have noticed that when i put it in the incubator over night the yellow organge wet spot hasnt grown but the mycelium continues to grow unharmed so far it looks like the mycelium may just spread right over it

Hard to say exactly what it is from the pictures, but a good rule of thumb is that any color but white is bad. If I had to base it solely on the growth pattern, I'd say it looks like maybe some kind of mold? More experienced eyes will hopefully come along and confirm or deny this.
Based on how it looks, I'd toss. I don't think that jar is going to give you anything good.

Yeah I have 25 jars going so the loss of one can't hurt but I hate to toss it until confirmed it's not due to stress or metabolites

It doesn't mean it wasn't a contam; it's probably still in there. However, the mycelium is strong enough that it could overcome it. Seems like good growth even!

nowadays I mainly just answer the question directly. I don't go into details anymore, it gets exhausting...

if u paid attention to my other jars they dont have the stupid ass lid i did it bc it was contaminated or at least i thought so i put a ton of breathable tape over it incase it tried to spread and bc idk what im doing its my first time and i came here to learn and dont know shit except what ive read so i did it incase the contam could go from jar to jar but the mycel grew over the yellow spot and i no longer see signs of it but i still am keeping an eye on it but as of right now theres nothing but mycel visible in the jar with the stupid ass lid and im back to 100% success rate as of now all 25 jars now have no signs of contams nor does my 3 monos
as u can see it grew over that spot and as of now theres no sign of issues

The mycelium looks way too thick and the brf mix looks like it's becoming bacterial. Myc can grow over a contam, it happens all the time. But the contams don't go away, they never become defeated by mycelium.

Well he's very uninformed and I'd be surprised that jar colonizes past %50 before pinning and molding out

And if he has been doing this since the 80s, which for many reasons I highly doubt, you would not be on here with questions. And it wouldn't be cakes my friend
