Non Mason Jar Lids

I have searched around quite a bit for this but can't seem to come across any Tek's for how to do PF TEK with regular screw on lids , for glass jars. ( I have seen the one for the plastic jars) If anyone could point me in the right direction I would appreciate it. Polyfill is available but no Tyvek.
Cheers

I also know there are Teks explaining how to do aluminum foil lids for PF TEK, but was wondering if anyone has suggestions for a screw on lid.

I say just use the traditional lids, why make things more complicated than it has to be. I'll even go as far as saying you should look into bulk grows to start. I've had more problems with the pf tek than I care to share and that's saying alot

If by traditional jar you mean the half pint mason jars, it's mainly price. Outside of the USA and Canada they are unreasonably expensive. So I guess it's safe to assume that if you do PF TEK with a non mason jar the best bet is aluminum foil lids.

I haven't had experience with aluminum foil lids, but my best guess is to double it or triple it over the jar rim for added protection and stability

Regular PF Tek needs no polyfill or tyvek.
You just make holes in the regular style lid.

You can take the lid off and turn it upside down on some wood and push or hammer a nail through. Make sure the hole is in far enough so that when screwed on it is inside the edge of the glass wall.

I just use felt stick on pads on mine (bonne something french jam jars with wide mouth, and normal jam jar type lids). The pads are supposed to be for furniture to stop the floor getting scratched etc and I pull/cut off the sticky stuff from the centre so it lets a little air through and stick it over the 6mm(ish) hole. It seems to work ok in my very limited experience.

Bonne maman?
They work just fine and are the best things I found that didnt involve ordering offline (if you dont mind, check out a website called ampulla. If you're not in the UK be sure to get the .eu(?) URL suffix or shipping will be needlessly pricy!
