Those fruits look nice, good job.
Are those rocks at the bottom of your fruiting chamber? What kind of FC are you using?

It's called hydro stone. Got it from the hydroponic store. Its porous and non nutrient like perlite but bigger with more surface area

Cool, if it works it works. What about your FC, do you have any holes on it?

Yup it's a 64 qt sterilite container. Has 2 lengths of bubble wands down in the hydro stone running on an aquarium air pump. 2.5 gal distilled water. I have holes about 2" apart around the perimeter 4" down from the top. I did tape off about 30% of the holes - it helped keep the RH up in the FC

Got it, you're using active FAE. Having still water in your FC might not be the best of ideas though. Still water tends to cause contamination.
And you can have the same effect without the air pumps and all with a regular SGFC or monotub design.

Harvest time for the 1st flush! Going to make prints from the best 4 and harvest this batch straight into the freeze dryer. Also day 6 for the mono tub since building that out and have a lot of mycelium pushing thru the surface. It's actually a dub tub. I had 2 perfect containers of a good size floating around in the basement with no lids so bingo - dub tub.

Great job! I've never known about freeze dryers until now, but damn are they expensive! It says that it keeps food preserved for 5x longer than standard dehydrators, but it may be a little unnecessary IMO.
Dehydrating fruits in a normal dehydrator at the highest setting for at least 10 hours, depends on size, is more than enough to keep them preserved. And storing them in an airtight container with a desiccant will ensure that no moisture in the air gets sucked back into the fruits. They'll stay potent for a long, long time with this method.
But hey, if that machine is working well for you, then by all means keep using it, but most amateur mycologists wont want to rake out 500+$ for one of those, when a 50$ one would serve the same purpose. I'd be interested to see a pic of it tho

Thanks!! Yeah freeze dryers are pricey but we grow a lot of our own food - veggies, fruits, berries etc and it's a great way to store every thing. Even freeze dried the Xmas Turkey leftovers. Keeps food for a very long time. Thanks Libs I'm super happy with this grow!
