Hi guys, it's the first time that i grow mushrooms and i want an opinion on their strange shape and healthyness. i started to fruit them 4 days ago, all the jars were completely colonized, and one of them had already produced one mushroom inside the jar cause i was far away for a week and i opened them when i came back. all the others were full colonized without problems. Anyway, here some pics of the cake in which i found the mushroom ( already picked cause it was not growing and maybe rotting...i wasnt sure so i removed it) they have a strange shape, it's like they already opened their cap but they are still very little, what do you think about them??? let me know thank you

What kind of fruiting chamber is that? It doesn't appear to be working well.

Yes. Can you make a picture of the whole fruiting chamber?
Small caps like these are a sign of wrong light spectrum. It also could be bad genetics.

I am using a 56w bulb led with red and blue light used for "agriculture"...eheh (one diode is setted on UV light actually) is it wrong?? i readed that more or less every light is good, is just to help the cakes to sprout, do i need to change it with a normal white led light?? Anyway the fruiting chamber is a plastic box with an air pump that bubbles into a glass of water and wet perlite on the bottom. i regularly spray water in it, two times per day more or less and i turn on the light sometimes for a few hours. here you are images of my fruiting chamber ouff i hope nothing is too wrong I don't wanna lose all my work and my little mushyyyy

As expected it's the light that caused the look of your fruits IMO.
Change the light source to a 6500k fluorescent lamp.
+ You do not need the pump

Get a hydrofarm digital timer, get a lamp that has several heads, and 6500k cfl bulbs...
Total cost 50$

While the light does contribute to the smaller caps, the whole setup is contributing to weak unhealthy fruits. Small caps are also a sign of poor FAE. The stipes and caps look dry, that perlite does nothing unless there are holes in the bottom of the chamber, and foggers in small horizontal chambers tend to saturate without evaporation leading to waterlogged cakes that at the same time are too dry on the surface.

Agreed. The look of the fruits is caused by a combination of factors in this improper grow setup.

Hi guys, thank you very much for your advices, i set up another fruiting chamber today, following the guide posted by enlightenment ( thank you!) here you are the pictures: Now do you advice me to remove the mushrooms that are already into the chamber?? because the caps are opened in some fruits, what do you advice me to do? i have another little question, i haven0t get if harvesting is done taking all the mushrooms in one time after the flush has spread or every day you can pick the mature and opened mushrooms leaving the others on the cake.
Let me know if you have any kind of advices for me with this setup, thank you all again for your help!

i have picked the opened ones, the situation in the chamber is already improving, one mushy is growing tall and tall without opening nothing and it seems juicy and slightly wet on the surface i am hoping the best. i'll update with some pictures!
Here you are, what do you think??

The cakes look too dry. Mist them slightly when the substrate looks dry. Don't overdo it.

i am already doing it but i thought it was enough, maybe they need to regain humidity from the last setting that wasn't so good?? or i need to improve the air circulation??
