Homage to You!
In the space where all experience remains in potential, emerges a grand display of nondual awareness and illusion, the original spontaneity of our sovereign nature of mind: indivisible from that, unmoving, to that I bow down.

Who has looked into the mirror and subjugated Maya? Who has gazed upon the waters surface and penetrated the nature of a reflection? To whom was the true dharma transmitted? It was extinguished upon reaching the blind ass!
Last night a man ate some mushrooms for supper and then sat in meditation in front of the mirror all night. He begin to feel inexplicably strange and ill, remembering no agent or actor exists that can set itself up for or ego loss, he relaxed into the experience regarding it all like a dream and enchantingly watched the display of magical illusion that is our multidimensional phantasmagorical experience unfold in the primordially pure nature of mind.
All situations and conditions - the psycho-organism-environmental mythical archetypal karmic delusions that arise adventitiously which we experience as real in our ordinary day to day lives, was realized as the key to transmission, the wish fulfilling gem like nature of the immaculate One. These karmically induced chronic habits of interpretation and projection may be termed 'genetic' insofar as the basic beliefs about the external world are determined by the structure and function of the psycho-organism itself. Or the notion of 'past lives' from the very inception of the species of homo sapiens can be evoked to indicate the unconscious depth of the psyche that produces the interpretive/projective images by which we 'know' the external world-its images, colors and shapes.
Upon that fundamental structure-shared by all human beings-personal karmic experience determines the specifics of sensory perception, prioritization of features and detail, whether the sensation is to be rejected or accepted, its emotional tone, its mental environment according to the six fold mythic categorization of (for sake of communicating I'll borrow Buddhist modes) the Buddhist tradition (human, animal, divine, demonic, ghost-like and hellish) and so on.
All that projective, interpretive and selective mental activity is the work of the intellect and the constructs, concepts and thoughts that it entails are preconscious-subliminal-'belief ', and we are attached to it.
But I yearned to realize mankind's most ancient dream and so resolved to finally settle the Great Matter once and for all. For eons I wandered to and from- back again- going through the rounds of cyclical countless births and deaths - venturing to realms spread out in all directions until knowing the totality of all experience like a dream.
He’s always at home, yet forever on the way. The true man without rank went in and out the face. The monks of the two halls gave equal shouts, but guest and host were obvious. Illumination and action are simultaneous, fundamentally without front or back. A mirror confronting a form, an empty valley echoing a sound. Marvelously responding in any direction, he left not a trace behind. This lunatic twice pulling the tigers whiskers! In this dream world he planted sacred plants, a landmark for later generations.
Oh dear Beings! When I humbly observe the true nature of things, all are the marvelous manifestation of the truth. Atom by atom, instant by instant, all are none other than it's mysterious radiance. How then can we be but humbly grateful for the food, drink, and clothing that nourishes and protects us throughout the day. These being in essence the warm skin and flesh of our ancestors, the incarnate compassion of the past awakened ones. If it is so even with inanimate objects, how much more should we be kind and merciful towards human beings, even those who are foolish. Though they become our sworn enemies, reviling and persecuting us, we should regard them as manifestations of our self, who in their great compassion are employing skillful means to help emancipate us from the sinful karma, we have produced over countless eons through our biased self-centered views.
Not knowing how close the truth is we seek it far away – what a pity! We are like one, who in the midst of water cries out desperately in thirst. We are like the son of a rich man, who wandered away among the poor.
At this moment what more need we seek? As the eternal tranquility of Truth reveals itself to us - this very world is but a dream - this very body is the body of the awakened one.
This Primordial Mind's Nature - magical illusion - transcendental, yet within reach for it is within the plane of immanence: is unknown and mysterious, Mystical!
All of our life's experiences up to yesterday, just mental images, are like last night's dream, and what we see now, absent yet crystal clear, absent yet apparent, is the mind's delusion. Yesterday and today are just like dream; tomorrow and the day after, all our future, only dream.
Upon complete familiarity with that realization, by involuntary resolution of the duality of grasper and grasped, we are free of the compulsive attraction of mind to an object, and with a definite feeling of detachment from situations, whatever presents itself, timeless, empty, floats in space. That is the natural primordial state of being. Once its credibility has thus been lost, enslavement to impure circumstantial illusion becomes dominant pure enchantment.
As if we were never to awaken from lucid dream, pure mind infuses the primordial ground. Each delusion, without past or future but shining in between, envisioned in the here and now, is not felt as existent; the intellect's karma-induced delusion, absent yet visible, since its nature is primordially pure, is like dream.
Through that virtue may all beings without exception perceive all situations as unoriginated illusory evanescence, and achieve higher and higher understanding beautified by the buddha-trikaya.
Abandoning the intellect that craves security in what is only dream, magic show, mirage, reflection, echo and apparition, let primal awareness and spontaneity regain their primacy.
Once obsessed by the carnal city and emotions, now fled from the thick jungle of uncertainty to cool groves far distant, let the heavens extol and acclaim those babes.
May this, my mind, loathing distraction, in happy seclusion in the peaceful forest, focusing only upon real meaning, achieve the immaculate insight of the exalted.
In this forest of flowers, leaves and fruit, enhanced by the clear waters of a renunciate lifestyle, may this my embodiment of unique occasion and right juncture, walk the path of freedom to the treasure of profound meaning. In this brief transit, until I attain my goal, practicing virtue in this world of men, on the path of peace, realizing skillful means, may I release incalculable beings from this fictive world.
This method is the essence of the awakened one's profound teaching and as it carries the import of all experiential truth, with desire for freedom, we should strive from the heart, day and night, without slackening, living it fully.
Those of later generations, fortunate and faithful, should depend upon these words at all times, and crossing over the worldly ocean of self and other, the dual purpose of all beings is spontaneously achieved.
This yogi with all-penetrating eyes, seeing the meaning of all teachings, rituals, doctrines, principles, laws, secrets, and the essential meaning of all precepts, graced by stainless radiance, composed this text in an empty ghost cave burning away in brilliant daylight.
This sun of dharma with its myriad stainless rays - primal awareness shining - dispels the darkness of unknowing, emptying the ocean of samsara to its last drop, revealing the unbounded continent of Freedom.
May this contribute to the awakening of the pure mind of all beings
My Vows this New Year:
To live in harmony and accord with nature and the exalted, immaculte high of the Awakened Ones. And to demonstrate, illustrate, and express it through this achievement of nondual wisdom, contemplation, and pure vision. In thought, speech, and action.
Through thorough integrated practice day and night the creativity of pure presence will surely manifest, the core undistorted, infallibly actualized: that is the most profound way of the heart.
Sentient beings are numberless: I vow to liberate them
Desires are inexhaustible: I vow to put an end to them
The Dharmas are boundless: I vow to master them
The Buddha's way is unsurpassable: I vow to become it.
Students who have the eye to see, I entreat you not to exploit this text. Preface respectfully composed on the day of the new year's eve festival, the year 2017 - the beginning of a new era of loving care and reverence.
