Jezus, that haul is impressive dude I thought I collected a mother load the other day then this guy turns up with quadruple what I got. How do you dry out such a such a large volume and how long does it take? I've had a fan blowing on mine for 2 & 1/2 days now and they're still not cracker dry.

Hey dudes. Can anyone tell me if I have any winners here: http://imgur.com/a/naccT
They are from North Sydney. Unfortunately right out the front of my work so I didn't get too up close and personal. Might need to return under the veil of darkness!

Had a good hunt last Monday (20/3). Found heaps of pan. cyans. Conditions excellent. South coast hinterland about 3.5 hours south of Sydney. Almost stepped on a large black snake in the middle of the paddock who was sunning himself. There was also a large bull in the same paddock so I stayed well away from him. Be careful out there!
Pan. cyans contain both psilocybin and psilocin, which is why they're so strong when you eat fresh young ones. Psilocybin is fairly stable but psilocin is unstable and will react with oxygen, and it is this reaction that causes the inky blue discolouration. Large older pans often are already turning darker (due to psilocin having already reacted) and so are not as potent as fresh young specimins (where psilocin is being actively produced).
Some have asked about storing pans in honey. The idea here is to stop oxygen getting to the mushrooms, thus preserving as much psilocin as possible and stop it reacting. Drying pans will lower their potency unless you can dry them out in an oxygen deprived environment (difficult). Last year I used a dehydrator and the potency dropped alot. This year using a drying cupboard around my hot water heater. Hopefully reducing air currents around the mushrooms will minimise potency loss.
Best areas to search are cow paddock riparian zones next to creeks, rivers. The mycelium likes to grow in semi-sandy soil.
cheers r

^^^ that other guy has enough for each person in Australia!
My yield from more Queensland than NSW:

I think you'd be hard pressed not to find some cyan's in any paddock ATM that isn't dry.

Hi there all Just wondering if you can expect to find many actives around the New England region. The rainfall and temperature seems as though it would be right, haven't had much luck in a few short scouting trips though. What kinds could I expect to find in this region if any?

Maybe someone knows the answer...
Do Pan cyans lose a lot of potency when dried? I put them in the oven, but only on 60 degrees for 4-5 hours, but when they come out, and i weigh out 3.5 grams, i get no effect what so ever? They are def active.
I've had the equivalent amount fresh (absolutely disgusting) and I've gotten an effect, but it wasn't much anything special. I just can't physically consume any more...
Isn't a dehydrator pretty similar to an oven?

Maybe try fan drying on newspaper, takes like 3 days though to properly dry. I dont notice much potency loss if any. You might have a mix of active and non actives because i get destroyed of 3.5 grams or you are just naturally tolerant.
