Came up in the garden. Tossed heaps of spent cakes and tubs out there.
They are mostly white. Maybe from a AA+ grow I did.
I only really pick winter mushrooms so I was surprised to find these guys.

Explains why it looks Albino.
Document the last week of conditions and let us know if they continue to grow.
Starting a journal thread on accidental growth would be interesting.

Any Pan Cyans around in Northern NSW after the temp drops at night?
I found a few small caps in a straw mulch area the other day. Nothing substantial but I was jw if anyone else was finding pan cyans?
Planning on looking for p. cubensis around shady areas in paddocks next time I hear moo-ing around the tent.
Good vibes to all looking

It's been averaging 17-26c here and Pan Cyans and P.Cubensis are still flushing.
 Happy Hunting.

Heading up to Coffs area for the weekend myself - pardon my astounding ignorance, but what - if anything - could one expect to find in the area at this time of year?

Hey guys I live on the border of Vic/NSW and was just wondering, the types that are listed on the site that say are found in NSW but not in VIC, would I have any chance of finding them since I live on the border and vice cersa? I hope that makes sense to somebody haha Also would it be a good idea to go picking at night? Thought it could be a good idea since its colder at night but I also know that shrooms like the morning sun aswell.. Im still quite a noob at the picking side so any tips would help, Ive been researching for a few years now and only had one decent find in the many times Ive been out. Specifically looking for subs but I know I can find liberty caps and gold tops in my state. Any advice is appreciated! Hopefully I have luck this year!

Also I'm pretty sure I have been finding Panaelus Cinctus and mistaken them for aged Pan Cyans but they go very blue when aged...

Fractaliopsybe, did you happen to consume the mushrooms in these pictures and if so were they at all comparable to pan cyans in potency? the reason i ask is because they look quite similar to the pan tropicalis in this image taken by John Allen which is also considered like the textbook example of this species and one of only a few pictures of it in the wild as it's appearance is quite rare.

and your description of it having a strong bluing reaction goes against what is considered normal for pan cinctulus which usually has a mild bluing reaction. and i'm not sure what the pan cinctulus look like in Australia but in North America they tend to have a brown color to them. and unlike pan cyans/cambos/trops, cinctulus is quite weak in terms of potency.
due to the tendency of certain panaeolus/copelandia species to closely resemble each other a fully verified identification of pan tropicalis would require microscopic analysis to be sure that it really is that but in my opinion when two separate groups of mushroom share as many similar features as the ones in these pictures do it should at least be given consideration if nothing else.

Wow that's a good point, But cinculus is very mellow in potency. This user fractaliocybe is banned for some reason? He got me keen on posting to shroomery again! (Very cool pictures)

thanks for mentioning. i didn't realize they weren't a member anymore. now that i think about it though i vaguely remember seeing some incident that happened that might have been what led to it. i'm still curious about these shrooms though so i think i might ask around and see what others have to say.
