Soaking is a waste of time in my opinion. Again, just my opinion. I put 1 cup of rye berries in a quart jar, 1 tsp of gypsum, 2/3 cups water, stir it up a bit, and PC 90 min at 15psi. Perfect.

That's wonderful for rye, but doesn't work for all grains.  Ever tried it with millet?  You'll end up with a complete mush at the bottom as it gets severely boiled before all the water turns to steam.

That method would probably work great for rye, oats, and barley (which is an awesome spawn btw), but I wouldn't use it for smaller grains.

Although if anyone gets it to work, let me know how ya did it!

Have some medicinal mushrooms and want to get the most out of them?  Try this double extraction method.

Yes every time I've tried the no cook method I end up with a heap of mushy grain. Never been able to really dial it in. I know there's a few peeps on here that swear by it.

I do the cook method myself in my opinion it's about knowing your grains I had that issue when I used to leave my rye over the time limit don't over soak them or add to much gypsum
