Morning community! I woke a little early to do some g2g transfers and noticed this suspicious activity at the bottom of a jar i was going to use as a doner. I've cleaned the outside of the jar thinking it was something on the outside, its not. I HIGHLY doubt its something that was left in there after poor cleaning, because im usually pretty damn clean when i work. I'm thinking its nothing to worry about but i just wanted some reassurance from my peers. Thanks in advance
BTW, Ive also included pix of the entire jar so you can see everything else looks clean.

How old are the jars themselves ? Not the actual spawn inside but the jar.
Could be rust I have older jars that have a similar look.
Also looks a tab bacterial to me.

Those spots are metabolites caused by bacteria IMO.

If I was going to do a G2G expansion into a bulk grow, THAT would not be a jar I would use.
I'd just case it with verm and grow it out.

The spawn itself looks a bit bacterial, wouldn't g2g it but will probably fruit fine, that spot on the bottom looks like rust probably from drilling the hole in the lid.

I know its such a small amount and its in the indentions/groves on the bottom of the jar so its hard to tell!!

It is possible that it is rust. We had a similar discussion about a week ago. But the fact that this jar is bacterial contaminated let me say that those are metabolites collected on the bottom of the jar

I'll post a pic when I find an older jar but after reading this def metabolites.
I hate the bottom of jars that edge makes it difficult to tell what's under it or maybe I'm just blind.

metabolites cause from bacteria? or just from mycelium? I am going to spawn this to a CVG tray today, should i consider spawning it somewhere other than my room when i inoculate because of this small amout of metabolites? (i usually use same room for inoculation chamber and Fruiting chamber) ...but i only usually do mono's, i know i will have to make something for these tubs i just wanted to do them individually to see there outcome.

Use 6.5 qt trays in a mono that's what I do when I get grains that appear bacterial.
Just depends on the severity of the jar. If it smells to rank toss it. If it smells like mushrooms your mostly in the clear. I have a bacterial tray going into 3rd flush.
