Contaminate or Rust from lid?

Recently inoculated some jars of hard red winter wheat berries and noticed an orange/rust colored residue on the bottom of one of the jars. It doesn't seem to be on my grain, rather just sitting against the glass. Everything I've read and researched said it could maybe be a metabolite or could be residue from the jar lid after the holes were drilled. Still very new to this hobby so I thought I'd get the community's opinion for peace of mind. Thanks ahead of time.

It looks like mold.
Rust colored.
If it's growing in size then it can't possibly be rust.
Metabolites don't look like that at all.

Yeah I wasn't too sure what metabolites looked like and I figured that wasn't it anyway because no growth has occurred yet.
Also, I'm not sure if this has grown or not. I just noticed this spot for the first time today while inspecting the jar for the first sign of mycelium. I'll keep an eye on it to see if it does indeed get bigger. Thanks for the input and fingers crossed.

if it might probably be rust how come its on the bottom? I mean, sometimes rust deposit at the topmost part of the grains when the rust is severe... could you have not seen it when it got deposited before you dump your grains in? It looks like mold to me though...

I was thinking it might be residue from the lid after drilling the holes for the SHIP and filter. I always dump any metal bores that catch in the bottom into the trash before adding grain, but I could have missed some I suppose.
But if 2 out of 2 comments think it's mold, then it probably is.

now that Im lookin at the pics, it 'might' be rust. How many days has it been since you inoculate and has there been any mycelial growth anywhere?

I inoculated these jars on the 24th. And there has been a little bit of growth in that jar, but not near the bottom where whatever that stuff is.
