What a wonderful play on taxonomic terminology.
Aw man well had i seen this i would have waited another day, but yeah i have seen plenty of people around introducing light and FAE before full colonization and as you know I'm a bit impatient but i love to see the day to day growth! I thought i would get some other input to put my mind at ease but I'm glad to see other people appreciate the sig haha

Like i said, many people are still experimenting with this. In fact some people keep their holes dduct taped the entire time as the imperfect lid suposedly provides proficient gas exchange. Expeeiment and find what works you beleive works best .

Just a quick question although it may be one you've heard plenty of times, at what point should i start misting the tub? Should i start when pins form? I could see how other people's definition of dried out substrate could vary. Anyone's input helps!

Honestly everyone here has there own defined rules for there monos. If the tub is lighter brown it means there is less water to it. People disagree but misting is ok all the time. One of the pinning triggers is water evoperation on the surface

When there's no little droplets of water on the surface of your shit. Take a flashlight to it so you can see the glare of the droplets.

It is now 1/10/17 and i have spotted loads of knots appearing! I've been keeping the tub misted when needed and there's been quite a bit more growth. I'll update the thread with photos when these suckers pin.

After around an hour of waiting i decided to remove the contaminated substrate via a flame sterilized knife and sprayed H2O2 over the exposed area. Now we wait for those pins to pop, hoping the mold doesn't rear its ugly head again.

Most likely due to the contamination. The trich runs deep. It will pop up again.

Thought so, although today the spot where the mold was seemed to be recovering. There is some myc growth on the spot sprayed with H2O2. I know I'm pressing my luck but let's hope it stays that way! No mold growth as well today.
