Electro magnets and mycelium

So I'm watching a doc on water. They had two Petri dishes with water in them. One was slightly electro magnetically charged while the other was not. They added a drop of water to each dish containing a bacteria. They observed the bacteria grow at 3x-4x faster in the electro magnetically charged plate.
I was curious as to if this could be applied to our little hobby here. Maybe have a electro magnet and colonize jars or plates on or around the magnet, however it works. If it would speed the growth of mycelium or not.
Anyone care to give it a whirl? I haven't done any research at all, though it may be a breakthrough that may need to be studied.

Also Lets explore a running a modulated pulse wave through it at various frequency. Imagine if there was a growth resonating frequency that gave exponential growth speed or more?http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-assemble-a-HHO-Generator-and-why-it-works/step3/Pulse-width-modulator/
Resonating frequency and other types of energy at mycelium.

Exactly what are you watching?
You're saying something about directly charging the bacteria... And I read something about bacteria growth in and magnetic field
