Very interesting. Can you comment on it's potency or taste?
Not tested yet. If the potency is good, I definitely keep growing this culture and store it on a culture slant. The advantage of sporeless fruits is that they don't make a mess in your tub / GH and you can let them grow to full size without worrying about spore drops. Nice if the pinset is uneven.
Later flushes produced some fat fruits.

I think I found a sterile strain in a KSSS multispore cake. Hopefully it's a keeper.

These are some fat pins i'm getting on MS.

I did that with cling on a miter and it fucked it up.. ill use it and it will get stuck on tiny kinks.
If you have a super sharp knife it would work better. but like, your sharpest knife that you have... and then sharpen it.

True!! I could see that happening easily now that you mention it! We built a house last year and had giant rolls of tyvek that we would chop up in to foot wide rolls. They would almost melt together where the saw blade ran through and that exact problem would happen from time to time

Good news, my tubs are recovering, a bit slowly but such is life.
Tub 2 is the most photogenic currently, I'm also pretty sure that the tub 1 and tub 2, which came from the same isolate (although different plates) might be sporeless. I tried getting prints last time with no luck, and I see nothing dropping. I guess I better clone it just in case

The shittiest WBS I ever saw is doing quite well. Maybe it's micropore filter instead of polyfill or plastic lids slightly twisted, but growth looks strong and it seems my agar will overcome mushyness (wouldn't it be nice if we could train mycellium and make it stronger?). These jars were shaken yesterday, I think I'm going to use them as masters.

My agars are also looking adorable
This one was from a tiny shroom I picked but that was PURE DEEP BLUE when I opened it up, so I cloned it, although this sectoring shows that it's not an isolate. Fortunately, it seems obvious what to continue on. It's also the same genetics that are in the pink agar jar.

Pretty sure I did an open air swab on agar, with the clone above as well. Since I knew I'd be transferring it out, I decided to take my chances. This is after one transfer

Anyway, despite the setback, I'm feeling good about the near future.

The holes in the caps? That's actually not a clone tub, but a few of those have that cap dimple now. Could it be veriticillium or w/e it's called?

Finally (finally) got around to getting some work done last night.

Took two Koh Samui pin clones. The first one the pin severely stuck to the surgical tweezer things. Touched it all over the plate... we will see how that goes. So I took another pin. It came off a lot easier.
Was looking through some old plates, and found a GT with a good pin on it. Cloned that too.
Took a 5th transfer of Koh samui, then used that plate to make LI. Pressure cooked third a quart jar or so of water for half an hour. Let it cool. Dropped plate in, shook shook shook, and inoculated 6 SDD lid jars with it. Should turn out good I hope.
And lastly, a tub that appears to be doing good. It was 3 jars of questionable KSSS spawn. Didn't cover the exposed grains.
