Probably didn't put enough postage on a "package". How fucked is it?

Shipped a package, used stamps for postage. Based the amount based on the calculator on USPS and now realize I might have fucked up.
I shipped using 1.80 to ship a 2 Oz bubble mailer, first class usps. The calculator said at the time that it would have only cost 1.40 or something. I figured excess postage would have raised suspicion so I only went over a little bit.
Now it looks like it should have cost $2.61. I don't know what changed...
I suspect that it will be delivered postage due.
Does anyone have any experience with sending/receiving with postage due? How does this work?

It's fucked. The feds will arrest your buddy and he will roll on you. You're looking at 25 minimum.

This time of the year your package will make it provided it was discrete, and your buddy will get a bill for the few cents owed. He better pay the bill if he wants future packages delivered though.

The way around that is to put your address as the send to, and where you want it to go as the return address. That way it might get returned to where you want it to go, but even if they send it, it just comes back to you. If it were a signifigant amount of cash, that would be a good hustle. But shipping is cheap so..

I put the incorrect postage on a first class envelope once. It quite literally took 5 months to return to my house. We thought it was lost forever.
