Habitat: Found growing in lawn near a compost bin where I regularly unload manure.
Gills: light brown turning black with age due to spores
Stem: brown/light brown also appears to twist
Cap: .5 cm - 2+cm
Spore print color: printing now but appears jet black from the spores on grass and caps of near by mushrooms
Bruising: bruises darker brown
Other information: haven't seen any of these anywhere around my lawn except near this compost/manure.

Not with that gill color or stem texture or stem color.
It's Panaeolus cinctulus.

Now that I look at the 2 with the very dark caps I can see the black spores.

Should have let them sit alittle bit longer. For anyone that is interested these were found in North Florida.

You let them sit long enough, they are jet black.
What you should have done is made them on tinfoil - covering them with another layer so it stays sterile. Then let them dry for 5 minutes and put them in a brand new ziplock bag.
Panaeolus cinctulus is very common in North Florida.

Thats a good idea. Would definitly save time looking for cups, lids, paper, cutting glass, etc.
And its sterile right out of the box.
Thanks
