help with "bulk" spawning cakes

im trying to make the transition from just regular brf cakes to spawning the cakes to coir/verm (80%/20% respectively) in a tray at a 1:1 spawn/sub ratio. I have a few questions. 1. Can I start using monos instead of trays in sgfc if im going as planned? 2. Do I dunk cakes before I cheese grate them? 3. Im using inoc's oven bag tek to prep my. Coir/verm. Do i drain the water from the bag before or after it goes in the oven? 4. After I have the tray mixed I just lay foil over the top right? Some people were saying stuff about micropore tape and poly but I have neither. Will i be able to proceed without it? Do I poke holes?
Any help would be deeply appreciated as my jars are close to 100%

1. Im having problems understanding what you are asking. You cant put a mono into a SGFC(You could but there is 0 point) 2. I personally always have but most ppl will tell you no. I would really suggest doing it as it will decrease the length of your spawn run. 3. I wouldnt use that look at rr's video on proper pasteurization. I believe its the manure one. Its really not hard to do and is by far the best way to prep coir. 4. Poke holes in the foil no need for micropore

O yea I forgot to mention that IME putting the cake into a clean ziplock and smushing the shit out of the cake always worked better for me than a cheese grater. I always use a clean zip lock for each cake

Thank you for the speedy answers What I meant to say (or should have said) is could I use this style of cakes spawned to coir/verm in a mono INSTEAD OF a tray in a sgfc?

Just about everyone here will say no you need to build a SGFC to fruit cakes like that but you can if you want. Im working on a tek to show shroomery how I fruit monos and trays should be ready next week which shows how to do it without building a sgfc

i used to do this a lot.
put cakes in gallon bags and mash that shit up good. i would then dump in oven cooked coco/verm and spawn to trays. cover with thin top layer.
i never did any monotubs but trays or 'shoeboxes' inside simple totes with the lids cracked. worked fairly well. not as good as bulk grains tho.

the hose is from a coolmist.(it never worked)

Here is the sgfc in question.

So this is what Im working with currently. Was just hoping to construct a monotub to do this with after this run but I wont mess with it if I cant do a cakes/coir monotub

Looks good to me cant judge the depth of the perlite but comparing it to the size of your cakes id say its all good. The yellowing on the perlite where the holes are might suggest you need to get it wet again might be dry thats what mine does when its been out out a while

Just standard misting and faning and also bottom watering mostly luck though.
