List your secure web services & programs

It occurred to me just how many people on this forum are not tech-savvy in terms of privacy and security, and I thought I would mention a few services. (Mod LMK if this is better in Privacy and Security, it's a lot of both sections and not exclusively about privacy and security)
Protonmail - This is by far the most secure email out there to date, and it's free. Use the ReCaptcha option during making a free account in order to avoid proving you are human by more complicated means.
For VPN's I recommend either IPVanish or PIA - Private Internet Access - they are both good, although each has different perks.
I also recommend when exchanging address information (even in on-site PGP encrypted trades) to use this self-destructing message site - Privnote.
If anyone has any questions for further security I'll do my best to answer them... other then that; I'd like to see people list their favorite methods!

What would you describe as "should be" essential security common practices for shroomery users?

Everyones situation is different.
Myself personally I never keep other peoples contacts on file. I send my shipping information in Privnotes inside encrypted messages. I don't use my real name or address, as you never know what type of person you are doing trades with upon establishing trusted friends/frequent traders, or just generally.
I recommend an encrypted hard drive (PGP encryption is fairly reliable for most things, like Symantec Encryption Desktop w/ PGP shred delete options for files so they cannot be recovered), a payed VPN service that is not hosted in the USA and does not keep logs. Protonmail is the only service I will use for email, they took on state sponsored attacks and the new Protonmail is the result of the campaign contributions, which elevated them to state of the art security with Swiss privacy laws.
CCleaner for wiping out cookie information, Recuva for seeing what can be recovered on your hard-drive to safe-delete it.
For very secure use I recommend ditching Windows entirely, and going with Kali Linux, Tails, or another linux distribution. Linux is always going to be safer, and free, with a lot of functionality and it's great for older computers as it's not demanding on the hardware.
Never take pictures of yourself around questionable types of grows, or if you're going to be doing grow logs, never take pictures of yourself at all. I see many people make this mistake. You don't even want your tattoos or any other distinguishing marks up, as fun as it is to show them off.
7Zip (free compression software) has great encryption for .rar files (or any type of compressed file) and it's free to use, and to my knowledge has not been cracked using 256-bit encryption available. Just make sure you don't forget your passwords...
Do you have any specific questions?
Oh, and for the love of god, set up and USE encrypted messaging! Shroomery has PGP (Pretty Good Privacy) encryption built into the website for ease of use.
One could even go one step further and personally encrypt their messages in a third-party client, but then you lose the option to report people for failing on their end of the encrypted trade, which is why you should only go off-site with people you trust.

Photos are fine as long as the metadata has been wiped.

Depends on the context, if you or identifying marks on you are in the pictures where there is any illegal activity, they are not "fine"

Just PM me. Probably not interested in an audio call, but I'll answer questions.

Not true, but we do live in a global surveillance state where any concept of privacy is a joke. Truth be told if that level of the men in black ever want you, they will get you with or without evidence. Best not to make that job easy for them, I've always found being too big for local LEO and too small for the men in black is the safe place to fly on the radar, legally speaking.

If you want to be 99.9% anonymous... here is what you do:
1. Stop using Windows
Haha.. no but seriously don't: 1. Stop using Windows (Linux is good) 2. Use Tor (https://torproject.org) 3. Disable Javascript 4. Don't open downloaded files (mostly audio, video and pdf files) while online. 5. Don't sign into any online accounts that can be linked to your real identity. 6. Don't post any information that is linked to you. 7. Use PGP encryption when communicating. 8. Try not to follow a pattern.
There's a lot more... but just use some common sense... just pretend you murdered someone and inorder not to get caught, you have to cover your tracks

I recommend a logless VPN over Tor.
Linux is the way to go, but not everyone needs that level of security, or wants to run multiple operating systems. The majority of people on here are simply not going to take the time for that, although I do agree.
You can always run Linux in a virtual environment on Windows, I recommend VMWare for that.
