Noob grower getting started

Well, i finally got everything together.from my pc to my sgfc. Uesterday i cooked 6 of my jars at 15 psi for 70 minutes. I wanted to go longer but it ran out of water. Luckily i got to it b4 my jars cracked.i went and inoculated them with about 1cc each of pes amazonian. Got my last 3 jars cooked them for 80 minutes. And inoculated them last. Im gonna have pictures up soon. Ive read from anywhere between 70-80° on incubation was cosher. But its a little chilly in my basement so i put them in a incubator. Stays right below 80 at the bottom of the jars. And its dark. But there are so many conflicting reports on this im just kinda winging it. I know all the questions most people ask. Ill try to trouble shoot problems myself. Just wanted to see who would give me a hand if im in distress on this project. Any help, or advice would be appreciated.

That first batch of jars is at risk of being dry, What king of incubator do you have setup? In my opinion unless your house is really really cold incubators arent needed and can lead to extra problems like drying out jars , hot spots, stale air, mold etc. 70 degrees is plenty enough warmth to incubate. 70 minutes for half pint PF jars is plenty of time. You are using PF jars correct? What size? Good luck man.

That method shouldnt dry anything out and i guess its better to speed things up than have them colonize super slow. Either way is legit man. 68 is about the lowest id go. At night time it might get a little bot colder so the incubator is probably gonna come in good use. Good luck.

I would personally continue using the TIT. Sounds like your doing everything as well as possibly. (Ive personally had my PC run dry a couple times through out my career)
60 minutes for cakes is more than enough time in a PC.

mycelium produces its own heat. if your jars are 80 on the outside, they are more like 85 on the inside. which is bad news bears.
mushrooms benefit from light at all stages. darkness its not recommended.
wrap some coins in foil and adhere it on top of your PC weight to add additional weight on the jiggler. this will reduce the amount of water lost thru steam and allow you to reach higher pressure levels in your PC. I usually do cycles around 20psi for 2 hours.
60-75 degrees is perfect for cubensis.

focus all that energy on reading about what mushrooms need to grow.
start here..
you will have a few weeks with nothing but fungus in jars so use the time wisely. do not try to reinvent anything or think you have the ultimate FC idea.

Decided to keep the jars out of the tit. They are now on a shelf at room temp with ambient light.

Spores take time to get going. Be patient. Hardest thing to do on the first grow. Sometimes takes 7-10 days before you see even the tiniest flecks of white growing. I find that conditions under 70 degrees, at least for me, tends to slow things down quite a bit ... I like 70-75.

growth speed from 60-70 degrees is negligible. you might reach 100% one day sooner at higher temps, hardly worth fussing over.
