On vacation in florida and I just found this Ganoderma Zonatum growing from a palm.
Very interesting. Never knew there was a palm tree specific Ganoderma species!
Saved a piece to cardboard clone since I have no agar materials with me. Cross your fingers for it workin

@ foragedfungus
You can harvest those now, or in about 1-2 days. The little cluster at the top left appears to be catching up nicely.
I doubt it will benefit much from being outside unless there is sun, since it has lots of O2. It already has clean rain, because you are directly hydrating it (misting).

You know I've got cultures for ya. I'd even give you one or two of those substrate blocks.

Does that normally have a lid on? Usually I would say you need much more oxygen, but I see no top.

Yeah, I put another bin on top, but ajar so it has airflow from each corner. RH where I live is basically 0 (20%).

Ok that would explain why they are pushing into the empty void (air gap). You might have to take it as it is with limited humidity.
They look odd due to limited oxygen.

I went ahead and put the perforated plastic tent the kit came with back on for now.

Yeah they really want some air exchange. They will survive lower humidity once the pins beef up. I get oyster mushrooms sprouting in my yard all the time because I fill in holes the dog dug with old blocks.

Good luck. You can also try taking the lid off and misting the fruits, when you go out or go to bed, put the lid back on. I did this with an indoor grow, they still stretch a bit (lid on), but still produce decent caps (lid off).

You can actually mist the fruits on oysters? I thought direct misting was a no-no.

Some people have issues with bacteria-other, either from the environment or the substrate, the water won't be there for very long. So far I have had no issues with direct misting, only issues with low humidity and not enough water (dry, abort).
If you mist the right amount of water, it should get absorbed or evaporate (low humidity).

I have 8 or 9 more, almost ready to fruit. I'd gladly give you a couple. If you weren't so busy changing diapers and being a father, that you can't make some time to sit around getting high and talking about mushrooms with me. (J/k super proud and happy for you)
Few more coming in.
