Wow, that's a really cool looking strain, looks almost "Donko style"

Interesting! It's actually 75 but none of the other fruits look like that- could possibly be from microclimate within GH. I've been thinking about drying a batch as several Korean dushes I like use dried Shiitake.

Crispy - have you noticed a difference in shelf life when you harvest after the margin has uncurled?  It looks like you're letting them flatten out a bit (to get bigger of course), but I noticed when I did that it greatly reduced their shelf-life.  They would become soft much quicker in the fridge.  If I harvested while the margin was still sorta curled under and they were more "mushroom shaped" (not flat), shelf life was a lot longer.  But maybe that isn't the case with all strains?

There is a shelf life difference when harvested late. For farm gate, people like the giant ones here, they don't sit, so I make them bigger sometimes. For retail...much younger shrooms for sure...

amazing looking shiitake crispy , what strain?

This is "66" I'm told...Comes from an Organic farm in Vancouver area...It rocks. Cold weather/hot weather all of it.

I have this on plates and it looks good. I'll be doing transfers to 2T in a day or two if anybody wants to do a trade. I have it in grain right now also and will be testing it out for vigor as it came from another farm.

The other farm just restarted the culture recently, so I'm hoping it will be good to go...Plates have been transfered once since these pics...They are coming out of refrigeration tomorrow.

Saw a lovely King oyster at the grocery store today and decided to give cloning it a try. Also attempting to print it.

Ah, makes perfect sense!  Good idea.  I'm always impressed when I get the really big ones, it's awesome to watch how much bigger they get when the cap unfurls all the way.

MycoFlora, you're a phony and a thief. I taught this guy everything he knows about mushroom cult and he stole all of my cultures and kicked me to the side after getting thousands of dollars to grow using my methods and cultures.

I have never met a more horrible person, please don't be fooled by this kid.

Armillaria mellea:

Trying to get fruits/sclerotia from Polyporus umbellatus. There's a paper saying that using the honey mushroom helps initiate sclerotia so I'm going to try it out.
